TV ratings: 'NCIS' duo leads CBS to an easy Tuesday win

OMG “The Good Wife” has jumped the shark or nuked the fridge, whichever you prefer.

My Sisters use to have “The Good Wife” parties at our sorority. No more, we have officially given up on “The Good Wife”. We will watch it no more. The writers have taken a great show with a great cast a completely ruined it. It was ruined all due to the Lazy writers who took the easy way out and forgot about the characters they developed on the show. They used gimmicks that did not fit the characters on the show, and they failed miserably.

Kalinda sleeping with Peter, how sad the writers came up with this. First they show that Kalinda is Alicia’s only real friend in like forever. Then they have the story line that Kalinda slept with Alicia’s husband. How gimmicky and bad writing. They are overdoing it with the poor Alicia and all her problems. She is dealing with enough problems, why add this. What is next? Having Alicia stricken with Cancer? We have seen this on other shows were they have one character have one tragedy after another heaped on them, and shows always drop in the ratings and eventually go way.

The writers really blew it by adding the gimmicky Race Relations and Religion issues. “Eli is racially cleansing the campaign” that does not fit with his character, or the campaign. Peter ditching his minister does not fit with his character nor does it make sense if he wanted to win the election. The whole kid’s race and religion issues were terribly written. Once again it is supposed to come out that Alicia is the only decent person on the show and everyone else in the world is terrible. Instead all the writers did was to have a show that offended African Americans, White Americans, Mixed Race Americans and all Religious groups. Do the writers really think that portraying all the white people in Illinois as racists was believable? FYI Illinois was the state our great President Obama and former Senator of Illinois was from. And he won by getting the majority of votes from ALL voters. I think it is the writers on “The Good Wife” who are deep down racists.

Racist quotes like "The Florrick kids just really love black people." on a network show is unbelievable. Then the racist quotes against people who skin color is white does not balance it out. It just shows “The Good Wife” is very racist and promotes racism.

Did you also notice the only black male featured on this program is a gangster, drug dealer who kills his wife?

The only other black male featured on “The Good Wife” was the lawyer that was a partner, but he was tied to organized crime, and they got rid of him.

Best in Film was a nice break from the usual Tuesday night lineup. I enjoyed it. Didn't agree with all of the picks but thoroughly enjoyed it.

Best in Film was an unfortunate break from the usual Tuesday night lineup. I missed V even though it showed its season (hopefully not series) finale. I was disappointed to see that it got better ratings than V and Detroit 1-8-7. And I'm a douche bag.

I can't believe people (well, at least one person) is accusing The Good Wife of promoting racism! How stupid. If you believe that, you missed the entire point. The point being that by removing blacks from prominent placement in the campaign and its materials, Eli has been led to believe he can win over more of the "soccer mom" vote. The Democratic big-wig pushed him into that decision. And if you don't believe stuff like this happens in real-life political campaigns you are either naive or just dumb. I prefer to think you're naive. It's a very realistic move for a political manager to make; and I thought it was keeping in character for Alicia to bristle at the idea. And her quote about her kids really liking black people was hyperbole to get Eli's goat, if you will. Anyone who things The Good Wife is promoting racism doesn't really understand what they're talking about. And as for the Kalinda-slept-with-Peter subplot, please remember that Kalinda told the other private investigator that he was "wrong" about his conclusions in that respect. I can't wait to see what really happened. I'm sure there's a story connecting Kalinda and Peter - but I don't believe it is that they slept together. This is one of the best-written shows on television right now. No way are they going to cop out like that; I'll be very surprised if they do.

The Good Wife is racist? Come on people! And I have problem with people complaining whenever they have black characters as drug dealers. There are black drug dealers, just like there are drug dealers from other races. I do not see why the show has to purposedly avoid using the demographic to play dealers. May be they should cast middle eastern men as drug lords, but then they are reserved to play terrorists.

You are implying, just like “The Good Wife” that soccer moms are racists. Clearly not true as President Obama won the soccer mom vote, and was voted senator in Illinois.

Wolftever, where do you see the reality of racial cleansing by campaigns? Look at the last ten years and all campaigns have embraced all races. The head of Republican National Committee (RNC) is an African American. But you believe the Democrats do Racial cleansing? Where? Certainly not in Illinois where this campaign is. Racists do not get elected.

And “The Good Wife” has a problem with portraying all featured African American males as either gangsters, or being tied to organized crime. I cannot think of another show on television that is that slanted with its featured characters.

“The Good Wife” will be canceled. They have been on the bubble, and this week it only drew an 18-49 leader: "The Good Wife" (2.1) , and that was against reruns and some lousy fill in show on ABC. The 2.1 was substantially higher than they usually get for 18-49, They have been having very low 18-49 numbers all year, and CBS is a network that has too many good shows to put up with the low numbers “The Good Wife” draws.
