Katie, have you ever watched an episode of Parenthood? The casting and writing is excellent. I just wish it wasnt up against The Good Wife :).

Last night's season finale of Southland was great! Catch the encore tonight on TNT if you missed it.

See where it says "rerun", Katie? That means that the particular episode of that program had already been aired by the network before. Logically the episode will attract a smaller audience, consisting mostly of people who haven't seen the episode or the show before.

In addition, networks completely expect rerun ratings to be worse than new episodes, and don't consider them when renewing or canceling shows. Glad I could clarify that for you!

Suprised that V didn't bump up a bit. It was the penulitimate episode. Idol wasn' on and CBS was in reruns. Wonder if next weeks season (series?)finale ep will have an increase in viewership?

Brandon. Did you notice that Parenthood was up against a “The Good Wife” rerun? “The Good Wife” totally rocks.

Did you notice Parenthood lost 64% of the viewers from their lead in “The Biggest Loser”

Yes the networks do take into consideration rerun ratings. With Parenthood ratings so low, it would prove to be a syndication disaster. NBC is losing a lot of money on Parenthood, and even the new episodes of Parenthood have ratings that are roughly equivalent to Leno in the same time slot (And Leno was not up against reruns)

If they canceled Leno, NBC has no choice but to cancel the ratings and money loser Parenthood.

Cancel Parenthood now, stop the embarrassment to NBC.

Julie, The Sisters are with you.

Julie, Amy, Becky We Love Your comments from last week:
Parenthood is demeaning to women; the women on that show are helpless and crazy. While “The Good Wife” has many strong women role models of all ages.
OMG Julie, My Sorority has been having “The Good Wife” parties too! Even the Frat guys have joined us. Fun, Fun, Fun for Everyone.
“The Good Wife” Parties follow in the fine tradition of “Sex in the City” parties , “The Oscars” parties, “The Emmys” parties, “American Idol” parties and Super bowl parties.

Julie, Amy, Becky I Love Your comments from last week, the ratings this week proved you right. You Rock!
