TV Ratings: CBS wins Sunday, 'Shark Tank' debuts high

shark-tank-1.jpgFast national ratings for Sunday, March 20, 2011.

Another healthy Sunday night win for CBS on an uneventful night. ABC's "Shark Tank" achieved a series high with its Season premiere, and FOX's block of animated comedies showed a slight boost. Perhaps all that rain in Southern California kept viewers inside with their televisions on.

CBS easily had the most average viewers with 10.9 million and a 6.6 rating/11 share. ABC followed with 6.9 million (4.1/7) and NBC wasn't far behind with 6.3 million (4.0/7). FOX's Animation lineup drew 4.4 million viewers on average (2.8/4)

CBS won the 18-49 demo with a 2.5 rating, followed by FOX (2.1), NBC (1.9) and ABC (1.6).

Let’s get real, “Celebrity Apprentice', decisions are based on who is the bigger Celebrity or who is the most dramatic and can make more drama for bigger ratings.

The Celebrity word in ‘Celebrity Apprentice' no longer applies. It should stand for washed up has beens trying to get some publicity to get their careers going.

Come on, Richard Hatch and Star Jones:
Hatch in jail again, an evil person, in trouble for abusing his child, only thing he ever done was win survivor.
Star Jones: A liar and a phony, fake marriage lied about weight loss. A big liar about everything, and evil.

They (and the others) are on the show to create drama. It is fun to watch and hate these people. But let’s get real “Celebrity Apprentice' has nothing to do with business or competition. The show is all about creating fights and arguments that no real business would put up with.
Don’t the so called celebrities that appear on this show know that by appearing they become side show freaks, not good for their careers. It is fun to watch and hate the freaks.

And don’t the businesses that appear on this show it only hurt their brand in the long run. Who wants anything to do with “Camping World” after this?

Dionne Warwick scares me! Gary Busey annoys me. Richard Hatch and Star Jones and NeNe Whatever-Her-Name-Is are flamboyant fakes. I'm kinda liking John Rich and MeatLoaf. Whoda thunk it?

Trump's face clashed with his God-awful hair and purple tie!

Dionne Warwick is just a mean, old biddy. Everyone has probably worked with an old biotch like her at one time or another. Her day will come.

I watched Californication on Showtime - then Detroit 1-8-7 on ABC and then Breakout Kings on A&E and then Firefly on Science Channel. None of the reality shows are watched by anyone in my family.

Good post, Donald T. It's ironic that you chose that name, but your comments are right on. Now, can someone tell me how the headline, "Shark Tank Debuts High" is accurate when it ranked 3rd or 4th in its time slot?

I don't think Family Guy was a rerun last night

I agree it is fun to watch these people act like they are in a freak show. But sometimes the people who are pure evil like Richard Hatch and Holly Robinson Peete, make the show hard to watch.
The only people that have seemed to benefit for being on the Apprentice are Trump favorite people like Omarosa and others who go on to reality TV. Joan Rivers and her evil spawn got kicked off most TV shows and now have to resort to their own reality show.

Holly Robinson Peete another of Trump’s favorites, I’ve read where her charity was rated very bad because she gave most of the money to herself and friends. This only goes to hurt Children with Autism. When someone like her tries to be the spokesperson for Autism and does things like that. And she has children with Autism - Holly Robinson Peete is pure evil. At least she used “Celebrity Apprentice” to get on the low rated “The Talk”. “The Talk” show wanted a person that the audience could hate and create controversy to help ratings, although that hasn’t helped ratings and people only hate Holly Robinson Peete even more.
As a mother wi
th a child with Autism, I advise people to stay away from Holly Robinson Peete, there are many reputable charities that really help Children with Autism to choose from.
