TV Ratings: 'American Idol' dominates a rerun-heavy Wednesday

"American Idol" wins again on a rerun-heavy Wednesday. The reruns meant bad news for ABC's new comedy "Mr. Sunshine" -- without a new "Modern Family" lead in, Matthew Perry's show lost over 30% of its viewers from last week. The CW's "America's Next Top Model" got a slight boost from the always popular "Makeover Week." Meanwhile, ABC's "Off the Map" continues to decline.

FOX won the night with an average of 24.2 viewers and a 13.5 rating/22 share in households. CBS followed with 9.4 million viewers (5.8/10). In third place was ABC (4.9 million, 3.2/5), followed by NBC (4.0 million, 2.6/4) and CW (1.6 million, 1.1/2).

In the 18-49 demographic FOX had an 8.0 rating, followed by CBS with 2.4, ABC with 1.6, NBC with 1.1, and CW with 0.8.

Parenthood is great, who gives a rats *** about women brains. Give me a break. It's a very good show.

Cancel Parenthood now!!!

Dean You sound like a NBC executive. The same bad reasoning that has NBC the laughing stock of TV networks, soon to be battling the CW for 4th place in viewership.

If you look at the last couple of weeks Parenthood has been losing total viewers, and losing in in all demo categories

NBC has tried putting Parenthood in different time slots, having expensive adverting blitzes promoting the show, saving episodes so they do they run against reruns, and the show still sucks in the ratings.
Everyone knows Parenthood is a loser, it loses a ton of money, been losing total viewers, and losing in in all demo categories

Leno did better in this time slot in total viewers and in all categories, and Leno was not going against reruns. And they canceled Leno for bad ratings!

Parenthood even has a dramatic drop off in viewers and in all categories from its lead in “The Biggest Loser”

Only stupid old men who love to see women demeaned watch Parenthood. Why does NBC hate strong women? Why NBC? Why do your shows hate women? Do you want everyone to hate your network? Why?

Cancel Parenthood now! NBC stop demeaning women. Real women do have brains!

I would call for a boycott of all NBC shows, but nobody watches NBC shows anyway.

You are right the idiots at NBC will probably renew Parenthood, and that will make all the other networks very happy. NBC keeps putting on crappy programs and losing money

rough 2 days for abc off the map i am not shock its good show that why no won watch it this show is lucky rhimes made this show special treatment will come in and aready been renew but next season is the real fight i wonder if disney will stick around next year

Any woman who watches Parenthood supports that notion that women are second class citizens and are mindless twits. They are increasing the social acceptance of treating women poorly.

Women who support this show Parenthood better worry about Karma. Someday in the future they, their daughters, or some woman close to them, may be treated poorly. And they will realize that socialization of women as brainless, mindless twits who are second class citizens is not a good thing.

BZY, get back in the kitchen and off this forum!

Mr.Sunshine has improved since the only OK pilot. Same situation with Better With You. I hope both earn another season.

i watch idol more now than i ever did before. one reason, and one reason only......JLO

Parenthood is demeaning towards women? I don't believe that is a true statement at all. The characters on this show are smart and successful-they are the heart of the show. Beautiful writing and great acting put this show miles above any of the standard procedurals on other networks. Honestly(and this is coming from a 34 year old married man) My wife and I think it is the best program on the air right now. The ratings have actually been climbing slowly..not dropping as you say. You should research your facts better. It's another sad fact about what people want to watch. They would rather watch people being cut up and murdered than watch a great show with family values. Friday Night Lights syndrome?

when will realty nightmire ends fake cry is the worst and over the top too
