'The Vampire Diaries' casts 'American Idol's' Lisa Tucker as the newest witch in town

As "The Vampire Diaries" speeds toward the inevitably epic finale, we're all anticipating the arrival of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) in Mystic Falls... but he won't be coming alone. By his side is Greta Martin, who isn't likely to be too pleased when she discovers that her father and brother both died at the hands of Mystic Falls vampires.Zap2it has officially confirmed that Greta will be played by Lisa Tucker, who "American Idol" fans may recognize from Season 5. The now 21-year-old singer/actress was only 16 at the time when she sang "One Moment In Time" for her audition, and got through to the Top 10.
You may also recognize her from her guest appearance on "The O.C.'s" prom episode, in which the Orange County native played herself. Taylor Townsend was a big fan.
Greta is described as "cool, hip, smart," and "a bit of a thrill-seeker." Witches are going to play a huge part in the sacrifice and the Salvatores' quest to kill Klaus, especially now that Jonas, with his dying breath, gave Bonnie (Katerina Graham) the tools to make the kill. Greta will appear in at least two episodes, but we're hearing that she may actually appear in four -- including the big finale.

Wow great casting, she looks so much like the actor that plays Luka!
The only thing I don't understand is why they can't bring Lucy back...she was awesome!

can anyone say; don't panic? Greta is going to be out for blood. Werewolves, originals, baby vampire, baby werewolf, possessed witch, pissed off witch, two brothers in love. A doppelganger, her vampire mama, and her vampire ancestor, her vampire-hating-hunter daddy, vampire hunter brother/cousin, and her vampire hunter history teacher, and her no-longer clueless aunt.

Ok...so I saw on twitter that they are filming the last episodes. But I also noticed that kat graham is having a lot of free time. It dosent look like she is shotting. So im worried that Bonnie has been killed of...I hope I'm just being paranoid!!!! The show will suck without our witch

Well Luka told Bonnie, Caroline, and Jeremy, that Klause FORCED generations of withches, so she might be good, bc u cant forget Jonas and Luka were kind of good but selfish they put family first(kind of like Sam and Dean from SPN) but i think that she will be bad bc she has Klaus, but after that she will be good
It is no surprise that Bonnie is cut out of anything significant going on in MF. She is never involved with the big plots. On a bright note hopefully KG was out looking for a new job. She deserves better.
Yeah I noticed that too. While Ian wrote that the cast was on lockdown shooting..I saw a tweet that kat was going to rehearsel for her dance...So the BIg question is WHAT HAPPEND TO BONNIE...why isnt Kat shooting?
