'The Cape' finale will air online [Updated]
UPDATE March 11: The final episode goes live at NBC.com at midnight ET Friday, March 11. A preview clip is at the end of the post."The Cape" ended its on-air run on Monday (Feb. 28), even though it still has one more episode left to air.
You'll still get to see that episode -- you'll just have to watch it on a somewhat smaller screen. As reported by TV Series Finale, the 10th and last episode of "The Cape's" first season will debut online sometime this month.
A note on the show's page at NBC.com reads, "The creators of 'The Cape' are prepping an exclusive episode just for online fans! Keep watching this site in the days ahead to see a full-length special episode."
Prospects for "The Cape's" return for a second season were fairly dim anyway, and moving the final episode off-air doesn't brighten them any. NBC had initially planned to air two episodes of the show on Monday, but its meager ratings (just 4.1 million viewers and a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49 this week) led the network to decide against taking "Chuck" off the air two weeks in a row ("The Event's" two-hour return will pre-empt it next week).
We'll update this post and send out a note on Twitter when we get a specific date for "The Cape's" finale online.

Not enough people gave this show a chance, it was getting better every week. Now they're doing this, it has 0 chance now.
Good decision to take it online. The Cape was a TERRIBLE show. Wouldn't speed up, was boring, acting terrible, but had a great concept. It was just ruined by the cast, crew, and writers.
Come on. Would it really kill NBC to air the finale episode in the time slot. To make viewers scrounge around for that last episode is soooo disrespectful and petty!
Plus in Canada we won't be able to see the online episode on the NBC website, if you put it online at least have the decency to put it available for Canadian viewers. I think I will write to NBC directly also.

Stick a fork in this show, it's done. When they're airing the finale online, that spells doom for this program. Chuck doesn't have much life to it either, so enjoy it while it's still on the air. Nothing But Crap!
Well, they sold the Canadian rights to someone else, so NBC have no right to allow Canadians to see it.
That would be like selling someone a Tim Hortons franchise, and then, every morning before they open, giving free doughnuts and coffee to all of their customers.
Meh, I liked the show, but not enough to put up with streaming, especially since it'll only available in the US. I'll buy the Blu-ray when it comes out in a few months.
It's almost like NBC goes out of it's way to alienate the viewing public.
I fully admit to having quit this show months ago. But since the network left it on all this time despite falling ratings ...why pull it right before the finale ?? That makes no sense and is a real kick in the teeth to the fans who DID stay with it
