'Secret Circle': Thomas Dekker of 'Sarah Connor Chronicles' cast as male lead

We were thrilled when "Life Unexpected's" Britt Robertson was cast as Cassie in "Secret Circle," and we've been waiting with bated breath for more news about Kevin Williamson's CW pilot. Now, TVLine reports that "Sarah Connor Chronicles" star Thomas Dekker has snagged the coveted role of Adam.

Adam is feels a connection to Cassie, the new girl in town, right off the bat. One problem - he's in a relationship with Cassie's friend Diana, and has been since they were children.

One more problem? He's the oldest member of a secret coven of witches. Cassie is about to discover that, she, too, is a witch -- and an important one at that.

23-year-old Dekker is best known for his work on "Sarah Connor," but he's also got an impressive film resume that includes a role as a cancer patient in "My Sister's Keeper" and the upcoming "Foreverland" with Juliette Lewis. He'll next be seen in "Cinema Verite," an HBO original movie about the first-ever reality TV family.
