Richard Hatch: 'Celebrity Apprentice's' boardroom, 'Survivor' strategy

There's no arguing that "Survivor's" Season 1 winner and current "Celebrity Apprentice" contender, Richard Hatch, may feel totally at home swimming with the sharks. He seems to love challenging how far he can take others.
Even after spending three years in jail for tax evasion, Hatch is due to return to court later this year for violating the terms of his release by not filing a tax form. Now, that's brazen.
In "The Celebrity Apprentice" premiere, Richard seemed to play his game with the goal of making sure Donald Trump was aware of his presence. When his team met to decide who would be project manager, Richard volunteered quickly and made it clear he would always be up for the role when available.
If we were to cross-apply his game playing from "Survivor," the former corporate trainer displayed a good deal of understanding of how people would behave and always tried to be the person manipulating how his alliances would work with everyone being on a "need to know" basis.
Was he establishing himself as a tough leader when he gave very little consideration to his teammates? Was he manipulating the boardroom full of men when he was basically emasculating David Cassidy by calling him "sensitive" and "delicate"? We think so.
How long do you think Richard will last? Do you think he should have gone before David Cassidy?

It is unconscionable that David Trump would allow a participant to be physically assaulted on the show and still fail to fire the perpetrator. Not that it will mean a damn thing, but I stopped watching the Apprentice because of similar transgressions in previous seasons. I am left to that resort once again. And since it entirely escaped Mr. Trump as to why Mr. Cassidy would seek to have Jose confirm his comments that Richard was lying--it's called substantiation. It showed no weakness--it showed that Mr. Cassidy would not rely on Mr. Trump's respect and relationship with him. There was another who could confirm that Richard was lying--but I guess that also will fall short of the Trump ability to comprehensive. Shame on the Trumps.
They know Richard Hatch makes good TV, plain and simple. Sure they say it's all about charity, but it's a TV show/entertainment before anything else so ratings are the #1 priority. They know he'll get ppl talking, while David Cassidy was just too nice.
I am FURIOUS that Trump fired David instead of Richard!! Richard was a bully, and cost his team the challenge. He is a cancer that needed to be cut out, and all the other players are in agreement. So Trump fired David for "not having enough spirit"? That could be used as a deciding factor if Trump were faced with a difficult decision on who to fire, but when the choice was so obvious, it was not only stupid, but Trump essentially joined Richard in his harassment by firing the victim instead of the perpetrator. And David asking Jose for backup was not a sign of weakness, nor was it a firable action. David needed a witness to back him up against that lowlife liar who did time in jail for exactly what Trump rewarded him for. I lost all respect for Trump; this season is not off to a good start.
I find it strange that Celebrity Apprentice came on after a NBC special on bullying. Richard hatch bullies David Cassidy (including physical violence which he could be arrested for), and Hatch is rewarded.
David Cassidy handling of the situation proves that he is more of a man than Richard Hatch will ever be. BTW wasn’t Hatch in trouble for abusing his child too!
Shame on Donald Trump and NBC
He was everything DC said he was. I can not believe Donald did not repremand Richard for his unprofessional behavior and Fire him..........It shows that Donald cares more about ratings than ethics.......I was very dissappointed for I always thought highly of the Trumps...Shame on you Mr. Trump!
Shame on you Richard Hatch You may be a great ***-et for ratings but in the real world we all know what you are!!!
good guys finish last, and in this case, fast.
It's all about the ratings.
Hatch should have been fired, there is no doubt about it. His team lost by a huge margin and on the way he managed to alienate just about everyone on his team, which seems to put him in a role he is most comfortable with. Unfortunately Trump is getting taken on his ride. I predict Hatch will be kept in the game until close to the end....it's all about the ratings, not about who is the better person or better business leader, etc. It's about who can create enough Jerry Springer type controversy to keep the American public watching....Hey, where's Charlie Sheen?
You all seem to forget the Queen of Abuse herself Omarosa. The vile terrible things she said to Piers Morgan were completely unwatchable and yet she stayed. I'm not surprised Richard was saved and David sent home.
Hatch=sociopath
