Paget Brewster part of NBC's 'Experiment'; Scott Foley plays 'Doctor' at CBS
Paget Brewster's time on "Criminal Minds" is coming to an end (for now), but she could be back on TV next season.Brewster has landed a starring role in an NBC comedy pilot called "My Life as an Experiment." The show is based on writer A.J. Jacobs' book "Guinea Pig Diaries" and will star comedian Jon Dore as a journalist who submits to a range of lifestyle experiments, from "radical honesty" to crashing the Oscars. Brewster will play his no-nonsense wife, TVLine reports.
Brewster's last episode of "Criminal Minds" airs Wednesday (March 16), but it may not be the last viewers see of her on the CBS show. Should "Experiment" not get picked up, the "Minds" producers have offered to make her an every-episode regular next season.

MacLachlan ("How I Met Your Mother") is the third partner, a long-time friend of Lahti's husband, and Boatman ("The Good Wife," "Spin City") will play a doctor who becomes a mentor to Lahti's other child (Eva Amurri). Good for Paget Brewster for landing a pilot, but in a selfish way, I hope it tanks so she'll be back on Criminal Minds. I adore her, and I really hate to see her leave the show.
I remember when Paget was on Andy Richter's show on Fox back in 2002 to 2004. Definitely easy on the eyes. Agree it is a shame that she's done for now on "Criminal Minds", so only time will tell if this NBC pilot gets picked up... wait till May.
How is it in a "selfish" way? The criminal minds crew let her go, that's why she was leaving. However, after the backlash they got when they let AJ Cook go this season they switched their minds about Paget. Nothing selfish on her end.
Jared I don't think Dave meant that Paget was selfish, he meant HE was selfish for hoping the new show doesn't go over well.
I too am hoping for the same thing. CM hasn't been the same since Aj has been gone, and now it will be even worse when Paget is gone. I'll still support both shows, but come early fall I hope she makes a return to CM.
Who's calling her selfish? I was under the impression that the poster meant 'selfish' for themselves, meaning, selfishly, they want Paget back on Criminal Minds. No one was calling Paget selfish.
But I LOVE Scott Foley on Grey's Anatomy!!
Well I can guess how that story ends now :(
Paget Brewster wasn't cut from Criminal Minds either. They simply put it in her contract that she could "pilot shop." If she found one, she could leave Criminal Minds, but still have the option of coming back.
Della Reese moving into Hallelujah is a great catch.
