HBO plans Dick Cheney miniseries
Dick Cheney, who will undoubtedly watch from an "undisclosed location," will be the subject of an HBO miniseries based on his life. According to Deadline Hollywood, the project will chart the former vice president's "single-minded pursuit of enhanced power for the Presidency (that) was unprecedented in the nation's history."
HBO is basing the miniseries on the book "Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency" and the PBS FRONTLINE documentary "The Dark Side." Rick Cleveland, a veteran of "The West Wing" writing team, will write the series for TV.
No word yet on casting, but the "Who should play Dick Cheney" game kicked off immediately online, with Jen Chaney (no relation) at The Washington Post proposing five options, including Jeff Bridges and Al Pacino.
We're thinking HBO couldn't do any better, though, than re-casting its "John Adams" star, Paul Giamatti, as Cheney.
In semi-related news, HBO announced that Julianne Moore would play Sarah Palin in another upcoming ripped-from-the-headlines political drama, "Game Change."

God, of course they found a former writer for "The West Wing" to write this propaganda. I'm waitting for a flick about the Clinton's, I wonder if they'd show a scene of him rapeing that woman in 1979?
Sounds like a HORROR Story to me !
I know it was a nightmare to live through..
If they get Richard Dreyfus to play Cheney, I'd watch....he was great in W.
