'Grey's Anatomy' music event: Preview the graphic first scenes plus two full songs
There's no way around the fact that the "Grey's Anatomy" music event airing on Thursday (March 31) on ABC is going to be a tough one for fans.
"The last episode ended in a very big way with Arizona asking Callie to marry her while they're in a car," creator Shonda Rhimes, who also wrote this episode, tells ET. "And then in the very last moment is a car crash and we pick up after the impact of that crash."
Subsequently, Callie (Sara Ramirez) gets horribly injured in the accident when she flies through the windshield. "There's a lot at stake in this episode," Rhimes says. "Callie, there's a lot of injuries that are sustained."
Also, listen to two full songs from the episode posted by RyanSeacrest.com:
Brandi Carlile's "The Story" performed by Ramirez, below.
Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" performed by Ramirez, Chandra Wilson (who plays Miranda), and Kevin McKidd (Owen), below.
Intense, right? Do you think the show would kill Callie?

The Callie story was getting really tired. It was about time that they did something. I hope they did have the courage to kill her off.
So excited for this musical episode! It's about time Sara Ramirez got a leading role. She's phenomenal! I'm glad the music event is centered around her. Good job Greys writers. I hope Callie's baby is ok. Callie & Arizona will hopefully get married too.
My prediction is that Cali dies, the baby survives.., leaving Sloan with his baby...?
Will not lose Callie- as emotional as this episode is going to be the talent of this cast is on display once again and have to watch
Killing off Callie would be one of the bravest things Grey's has ever done. I hope they do for that reason. The show is getting predictable.
I love Greys have from the start! But what in the heck would you want to take a serious show night with a singing staff that is so far from reality? it totally ruined the show for me! I think to many idol watchers run this show! Get back to the show! I'll turn the radio on and the sound down!!! That would be the same thing. Hey they sing good just do it some other time!!! like back stage.
I have enjoyed "Grey's Anatomy" very much until this "musical" version tonight. This is sickening. They took an extremely good tv drama and ruined it. All the wonderful characters created by these very good actors is lost in this freaking mess. I want to see the drama of the hospital that made this program so popular. Whose "nuts" idea was this. They should be fired, or sent to work for Charlie Sheen!
Dumbest episode ever
Soo this was my first tmie watching Greys and omg i cried like a baby throughout the whole show i am now hooked,
This was bad enough I has to blog for the first time ever. Pathetic, laughable, and just plain stupid. Worst thing i've seen on the show. Can you say Jumped the Shark?
