'Gossip Girl's' Ed Westwick on Chuck and Blair: 'Maybe one of them should die'
Chuck and Blair or Dan and Blair? That is the question, "Gossip Girl" fans, and it's going to be a long and brutal six week hiatus before we learn the outcome of Dan and Blair's first kiss.
We already know Leighton Meester's thoughts on the two pairings. "I like that friendship," she says about Blair and Dan. "I think they're good for each other in a lot of ways, in a way that Chuck and Blair aren't." Before totally starting a war between Chuck and Dan fans, she adds, "I like Chuck and Blair though. I think they're good together."
Now, Ed Westwick, another point in this not-really-a-love-triangle, is saying what he thinks should happen. Well, what should happen between Chuck and Blair, that is. We think he's kidding, but we'll let you be the judge of that.
When asked by InStyle if Chuck and Blair belong together, Westwick says, "Maybe. But maybe one of them should die, like Romeo and Juliet or something weird. Why not? I wouldn't put it past them on that show anyway."
He continues, "The whole Blair and Chuck thing has been a great circus to be part of. So we'll see where it all goes."

Lol Ed, i think he want to quit the show as soon as possible..he is bored like almost well not almost like ALL of us..lol
As for a Romeo and Juliet ending hey why not ? I agree at least it would be epic not some lame happy ever after ending..borrrrrriiiinnnggg..and i don't watch boring !!
It's obvious they were going to kill Chuck's character ... Anyway DAIR > GossipGirl
It sounds that Ed is getting bored of Chuck this season, and you can notice that in others interviews. But it's kinda true that Chuck storyline is quite boring this season, it's always the same thing. If i will sum up Gossip Girl in one world for each characters it would be
Serena=boys
Blair=Chuck
Chuck= Empire Hotel
Dan=Serena
Nate=Lost
Vanessa=Who?
I am a big fan of Chuck and Blair ,Blair and Chuck, but after 4 seasons it gets boring, always the same things. So i am really happy that they explore the relationship between Dan and Blair, it's refreshing. But i read SPOILER ( that Louis Grimaldi will come back).
Concerning Blair and Chuck they said that they are meant to be together and yes it can be true but like said Ed it could be finished like Romeo and Juliette ( but both died not one)they are good for each other like they can destroy each other. This Ed quote is perfect "But there’s something magnetic about Chuck and Blair, like they’re the fission of the same atom.”
After the greatest danger for a writer is to bring together finally two characters who play
I love you me either(love/hate). The risk is tired of the public once the
honeymoon last because happy people have no stories. Bc we all know Blair and Chuck happy it's good for a time but it gets boring, it's why the first 2 seasons were so good. It's quite the same for Vampire Diaries all the fans and the crazy delena fans want so much Elena and Damon end up together but more than the reasons why they can not be together (stefan, his bad behavior ...) there is quite the same risk for them I think.
So to conclude i will say why not a happy ending but not now, in awhile.

If they can resurrect Chuck/Blair, then I am all for it. If not, I'm totally gonna support Dan/Blair. They're fresh and witty and really the only scenes I look forward to on Gossip Girl nowadays. Especially now for the hiatus, I am so waiting for the aftermath of the Dair kiss.
I totally agree that Ed does seem really bored now, but I kind of understand because his plot line really isn't as interesting anymore.
I miss first season Chuck Bass. Where did he go? He was full of sexy evilness.
I think it would be perfect to have some sort of tragic end between Chuck and Blair. They're whole relationship has been full of mostly lows so it would be a fitting ending.
I don't think Chuck and Blair should ever get back together. They had a great ride, but as much as Blair is the best thing for Chuck, I'm not sure if that's true the other way around.
Plus, I think Dan and Blair are good together. And their pairing up would require them fighting all odds (even fighting themselves to admit their feelings), which is always fascinating to watch on a show.
Team CB all the way! I want them to get a happy ending, but a tragic one would fit them just as well.
