'Glee': Are Finn and Rachel getting back together? Plus, Kurt and Blaine finally have their moment

glee-blurt-kiss.jpgTime for a "Glee" relationship status update! In short: It's complicated.

Let's talk about our Dalton boys first. In tonight's Regionals episode, "Original Song," a death in the Warblers family (the canary) moved Kurt (Chris Colfer) to sing "Blackbird." The song, in turn, moved Blaine (Darren Criss) to... well, make out with Kurt.

"Kurt," Blaine said, "There is a moment when you say to yourself, 'Oh. There you are. I've been looking for you forever.' Watching you do 'Blackbird' this week, that was a moment for me. About you. You move me, Kurt."

We died of adorable overload.

In other relationship news, the Quinn/Finn/Rachel triangle gets more triangley every day. Quinn staked her claim on our favorite autotuned quarterback in one of Dianna Agron's best scenes this season.

The thing is, we're pretty sure that Quinn doesn't love him as much as she loves the Prom Queen crown that he could put on her head.

(Speaking of which, what happened to all of Quinn's character development? She seems to have reverted back to the hypocritical, manipulative nasty we met in the pilot, minus the Cheerios uniform.)

Finn hasn't caught on to Quinn's agenda -- as we know, it usually takes him a while to catch on to things in general -- but we can't help but notice that he's been spending an awful lot of just-friends-I-swear time with Rachel. Even Quinn noticed a possible longing look between Finn and Rachel as

It looks like Finn/Quinn may not last long enough for them to share prom royalty. Our money is on a Finnchel reunion by the season finale.

As for the other relationships you're wondering about? Here's the general round-up:

Will and Holly: That's still on, though they've taken their eye-sexing off screen.
Will and Emma: Um, no developments this week, which was weird, because we were hoping for some resolution to all of last week's loose ends.
Santana and Brittany: Still awkward.
Santana and Sam: Still boring.
Brittany and Artie: Still boring.
Puck and Lauren: Still based solely on his obsession with her weight.
Mercedes and Tater Tots: Still her only storyline this season. Still offensive.

When Kurt and Blaine kissed, I died. It was a spectacular moment and I am so glad they finally got together.

I loved tonights episode. One of the best. I hope Finn and Rachel get bnack together soon that look Finn gave her was so adroable.

I agree that Mercedes deserves an actual storyline.

I do disagree with you about Quinn though. I think given her past circumstances as well as her personality type this is a natural progression. She's not only manipulative, she's also aware. And yes, this was some of Dianna's best work for the season.

Overall, a really enjoyable episode. I didn't even go off on how cute Blaine and Kurt were, or how great Lea played Rachel.

Good job on the critique and summary. Truly. Being on point and concise is a talent apparently few have. Plus, you didn't end your article with, "What do you think?" Kudos!

Ha, thanks Matthew. Not a fan of the "what do you think?" thing?

Re: Quinn... I guess I feel like they made her REALLY SWEET in the middle there, when Mercedes was going through her Cheerios phase, and now that's suddenly gone. It feels a little mercurial to me.

I asked the same question tonight, "What happened to Quinn's character development?". Seriously, this feels really out of place for her character considering all the ground she's made this season. It came out of nowhere, and I really feel it's a big step backwards for both her and the show.

"Speaking of which, what happened to all of Quinn's character development?"

Thank you!!! I have been saying this all season long, finally good to hear someone else say it. It's like last year never happened, you never go backwards in character development and if you do not like this.

I swear Glee is turning Quinn into Sharpay from HSM (I have kids) totaly *****, learns her lesson by end of season and is lovable only to revert for no apparent reason next season.

C'mon Glee your viewers are smarter then that.

I do miss the Mercedes and Quinn friendship. However, I think it can also be seen as natural teenage behavior.
Now, to go off on a brief tangent.
I will say if I were a professional writer and critic, ending with "what do you think?" would really make me angry. It irritates me as a reader.
You work to develop skills, a nuanced sense of plot (I haven't developed that). Then you have to ask the world at large their opinion? No thank you.
I don't like it because for one thing it diminishes all the writer's work. It also makes people who have opinions (me) think that opinions count more than they do. Critiques require take work that require being an objective and also interested observer. Although some critiques come off as more than analysis, I believe it takes real skill to be thoughtful. Something I don't like doing with things I enjoy (they can do no wrong, never!).
Again, good job.

Kurt and Blaine are the best, there so cute!! I'm so glad they finally have had there moment.

Tonight's episode of Glee was one of the Best this Season

Finn and Rachel are true love - just like Kurt and Blaine... it is a beautiful story. And the "finchel" reunion will bring down the internet - people will be over come with joy. I am rooting all the way to the reunion... I can't wait for it!

I think it's offensive that the only black woman, on a show of stunning women,is a large, walking, talking stereotype.
