'Drop Dead Diva': Jennifer Tilly and 'Glee's' Romy Rosemont to guest star
Season 3 of "Drop Dead Diva" isn't letting up on the fun guest stars. We were the first to report that Mario Lopez and Nick Zano are joining the star-studded premiere, which also includes Wendy Williams, LeAnn Rimes and Paula Abdul.
And now Zap2it has learned exclusively that Jennifer Tilly and "Glee's" Romy Rosemont are appearing in next season's third episode.
Rosemont will play one of Jane's (Brooke Elliott) clients - the mother of a little person - who is suing the sperm bank that provided the sperm. Tilly plays an actress who Fred (Ben Feldman) hires to play his mother for Stacy (April Bowlby).
Tilly is best known for her film work ("Bullets Over Broadway," "Bound"), though she has appeared in several TV series, including "Frasier," "CSI," and she starred in the short-lived CBS series, "Out of Practice." She currently voices Bonnie Swanson on FOX's "Family Guy."
On "Glee," Rosemont plays Carole Hudson (formerly Carole Hummel) Finn's (Cory Monteith) mom and now Kurt's (Chris Colfer) stepmother. She has also appeared in several TV series, such as "Big Love," "Mr. Sunshine" and "Criminal Minds." She's currently working on an upcoming family film, "Taste of Romance," costarring Teri Polo.
Season 3 of "Drop Dead Diva" begins airing in June on Lifetime.
In case you're new to the series or just want to revisit where "Drop Dead Diva" all began, Lifetime is airing the first four episodes back-to-back on Friday, April 8 from 8 p.m. to midnight ET. And the Season 2 DVD goes on sale May 3.
