Charlie Sheen responds to officially being fired from 'Two and a Half Men'

This doesn't come as a surprise to anyone, but you know how long it takes for human resources to fire someone. Oh, the red tape.

Charlie Sheen clearly isn't "Winning!" when it comes to his regular role as Charlie Harper on the CBS hit, "Two and a half men."

Following a production shut down and Sheen going off the rails in the aftermath, Warner Bros., the studio behind the CBS series, rolled out the following statement on Monday (March 7):

"After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately."

Sheen shot back with a wild response via TMZ:

"This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."

Are you sad to see him go or just sad to see him?

What a nutjob.

This is the end of 2.5Men!

Well I do agree with one thing Charlie Sheen said... those shirts his character wore were silly.

Charlie fired!...This is awesome news...I knew it was coming...Now time to celebrate...cocktails anywone!....

It's sad. Charlie needs some major help and everyone is standing around just watching him self-destruct. I know legally you can't do anything to him unless he's a danger to himself or others, but ........ come on! This isn't entertainment. We're watching a slow death. Can you imagine how his parents and siblings feel watching this? He obviously needs some mental help. This is NOT something to celebrate!

People have compared him to Dr. Hunter S. Thompson in some of the forums, but the good Dr was much smarter, and probably COULD out party this manic, knucklehead. Remember what happened to Hunter, Charlie? He was an original. You are a copy. One day, Sheen will awake and realize, in a brief (really brief) moment of clarity what he's done to himself and those around him, climb up to the roof, and simply make that "rock-n-roll" swan dive to the pavement below. Just watch......I guess this is his idea of winning.

Hopefully they change the name to ONE AND A HALF MEN, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones are the funny ones anyway! And use Ryan Stiles more....also very funny. My 2 cents from Canada.

It seems like some of you are hoping for a suicide or some other tragedy. How pathetic that you can't have pity on someone who needs help. It doesn't matter how much money he has or who his parents are or how famous he is; he's still a human being. Yah, he's talking like a jerk, but it's either the drugs or some mental issue. It doesn't give us the right to wish him dead. He a son and a father regardless of how he's behaving. There will be people extremely sad if he dies. I'm not telling you to mourn him or laugh at his stupid jokes, but at least be respectful of another human being--even if he's not. Teach by example.

Oh poor Charlie was fired big whoop..he brought it on himself. I'm so sick of hearing about him.

Sadly, this contradicts my hope that this was all an Andy Kaufman-like put-on. Had CBS not fired the guy I would have thought this was some weird gag, but now it seems it's legit, which is unfortunate.
