'Big Love' series finale first look: The eye of the hurricane

Oh, how far we've come. After five increasingly intense seasons, polygamous Mormon family drama "Big Love" screeches to a halt with the Mar. 20 series finale, "When Men And Mountains Meet."

The loose ends are too numbered to mention. Bill (Bill Paxton) is about to go on trial for statutory rape, Barb's (Jeanne Tripplehorn) crisis of faith seems greater then ever, Nicki (Chloë Sevigny) is giving Joan Crawford a run for her money in the 'worst mother ever' pageant and, under the looming cloud of Bill's 20-year prison sentence, Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin) has decided to try for another pregnancy.

You would think this would make for a solid hour of crying, screaming and gun-waving. But in this sneak peek from HBO, the state of affairs inside the Henrickson house is decidedly calm. And when the tension between Nicki and Cara Lynn (Cassi Thomson) seems to much to bear... Bill provides some much needed comic relief.
