'American Idol': Scotty McCreery goes Travis Tritt on 'Can I Trust You With My Heart'

For the Birth Year theme, "American Idol's" Scotty McCreery picked Travis Tritt's 1993 song "Can I Trust You With My Heart." It was a lovely vocal, plus had the added bonus of some soaring high notes (high for Scotty) at the end.

The judges liked it. Randy says he did Travis Tritt proud, Steven Tyler just says, "Really good, thank you." We were disappointed Scotty wasn't born in 1991 because we think he would've just killed Tritt's song "Anymore."

What did you think of Scotty's performance? He's surely safe, his performance was not only right in his wheelhouse, but also in the wheelhouse of the voters.
