'Two and a Half Men' creator Chuck Lorre jabs at Charlie Sheen with vanity card

Charlie Sheen and the makers of "Two and a Half Men" are reportedly at odds over when the show goes back into production. This might not help much."Men" creator Chuck Lorre has used the vanity cards at the end of the show to comment on Sheen's off-camera activities before, but the one that aired after Monday's (Feb. 14) episode (which, by the way, was the last one filmed before Sheen entered rehab) might not exactly be good for the relationship.
It is, however, pretty amusing. It reads:
I exercise regularly. I eat moderate amounts of healthy food. I make sure to get plenty of rest. I see my doctor once a year and my dentist twice a year. I floss every night. I've had chest x-rays, cardio stress tests, EKG's and colonoscopies. I see a psychologist and have a variety of hobbies to reduce stress. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't have crazy, reckless sex with strangers.
If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm gonna be really pissed.
Monday's title card follows one that aired in January in which Lorre warned "Men" viewers not to attempt anything they'd just seen on screen: "We employ a highly-paid Hollywood professional who has years of experience with putting his life at risk. And sadly no, I'm not talking about our stunt man."
As for the fate of the show itself, it's scheduled to resume shooting on Feb. 28 -- despite Sheen's assertion that he's ready to go back to work now. TMZ reports that Warner Bros. TV has cut four episodes off this season's order, reducing it from 24 to 20. Reruns are scheduled to air for the next few weeks.

I seem to remember Kelsy Grammer having some problems at the height of Frasier's popularity where he ended up in rehab. Sometime after about his 25th car wreck or something. Didn't the Frasier cast film a few episodes where Frasier was written out? I'm sure the cast of Two and a Half Men could pull off some fine episodes without Charlie Sheen. No one is irreplaceable.
How could you be Charlie Sheen and possibly be offended by that, though? Look at his life.

Way to go Chuck Lorre! I'm sick to death of these actors that think that they attained such heights & filled their bank accounts all by themselves! What would they do w/o the writers & creators? What would they do if they showed up one day & there were no words on paper telling them EXACTLY what to say, EXACTLY what to do, EXACTLY how to do it? No 'X' on the floor telling them where to stand? Would YOU want to see what came out of their pea-sized, coked up brains if it were all left up to these so-called 'stars'? Would you have watched every episode for a decade if we'd had to depend on 'poor little rich kid' Charlie Sheen to come up with every idea, to write every word spoken by every actor on the show? Besides the writers, directors, producers & supporting casts, there are the 'little people'. From makeup artist to gophers, from cameramen to caterers, they ALL did their jobs & did them w/o crying & whining like children because "her ___ is newer than mine" & "his ___ is bigger than mine"! Sounds like a bunch of kids fighting over who gets the last cookie instead of grown men & women making millions a week. And WHY do they have the power to demand such high salaries? Because of how many VIEWERS they have, how many FANS there are. In other words, because of us, the men & women that work a lot harder for a lot less, that fork over OUR hard-earned $ on the products advertised on these programs, because of OUR loyalty to & love of these TV shows. Just how much money would they be able to demand w/o the audience? The money comes from companies buying commercials, cable providers paying for the right to air these networks & their programs. And WHY do these companies have the money to pay? Because WE pay! WE pay for cable, WE buy the products, WE say 'yea' or 'nay', WE are the determining factor for what stays & what goes, what is a hit & what is a flop, who gets the millions & who gets the heave-ho! As for me & my money, I'll never pass another penny up the line (pun intended) for Charlie Sheen's drugs & prostitutes. I don't ever want to hear to another word that comes out of his ungrateful, racist, misogynistic mouth. No matter how brilliant the writer that he would need to come up with the words.
