'The Hills' Kristin Cavallari says Lauren Conrad isn't trashy enough for 'Jersey Shore's' MTV
On both MTV's "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills," Kristin Cavallari was portrayed as Lauren Conrad's arch nemesis. But, to speak to Cavallari today, she would say very little that was portrayed on "The Hills" resembled her actual life.
"Yeah, in high school," Cavallari tells Zap2it when we asked her about her supposed rivalry with Conrad.
"We're very friendly with each other," she says. "The last time we saw each other was 'The Hills' wrap party. We hung out all night. We're very friendly. I don't have her phone number. I don't call her. But when we see each other, we're very nice."
Cavallari, who will be guest starring on Wednesday's (Feb. 16) episode of "The Middle" on ABC, says that she was surprised to hear that MTV canceled Conrad's reality show before it even aired. But, while she expressed that she didn't expect that Conrad's show would be killed by the network, she says she can understand why.
"To be honest I think that 'Jersey Shore' is so freakin' hot," she says. "The ratings are unbelievable. And I think that, unfortunately, TV is getting trashier and trashier. Lauren's very sweet and very nice. That's not always that very entertaining."

I disagree. If Conrad's life is interesting people will watch it, no need to have trashy real tv shows..yeah i know Snookie works (albeit she is also snarky and funny) but trashy shallow dumb shows doesn't work longer believe me (and Kristin your life is just not interesting maybe LC's life is more interesting who knows..the Hills ratings were good with her after all..) but a LC can works also..diversity networks diversity otherwise all your shows will be "kapout" "K.O" "Game over" very soon..lol
hm, i think MTV were right to cancel Lauren's upcoming show. I mean, Most see it as 'The Hills 2.0' except without the Cast-Members that actually made it interesting. Obviously, Conrad isn't a hit by herself - The Hills only went viral because of her feud with Heidi Montag & such. As much as I think Conrad is more 'real' in comparison to Kristin, It is quite obvious Kristin has the bigger personality and actually rocked as The Hills season 6 lead character.
Quite a shame that Kristin turned down the offer in the beginning to have 'The Hills' focused on her life as she wanted to do acting instead. So what did they do!? MTV gave it to Laguna's other popular face, Lauren, and it worked out for her while it lasted.

this shows that she has grown up after being on MTV for 6 years...
She's still trash.
Lauren Conrad's show would NOT have worked because she wasn't going to allow anymore of her personal life to be shown, only her professional. That's boring. The teens who would watch the show would want to be wrapped up in the dating/breaking up/dramatic personal scenes. Who wants to watch her designing clothes, making clothes, models walking the runway over and over. It would be very monotonous.
MTV should be canceled, and I say this as a 22-year old who can't stand watching his generation being represented and encouraged in such a vile way. The whole network is crap... except for the True Life stories. Those I like.
