'Supernatural' Sneak Peek at Genevieve Cortese Padalecki's awkward Sam smooch

Poor Sam Winchester. It's got to be rough to wake up in an alternate universe where you're happily married to the demon who destroyed your life. And the world.In these first look stills from "The French Mistake," the "Supernatural" episode airing Friday, Feb 25, things get awkward when Balthazar tries to protect the Winchesters by dropping them into a world where they're known as Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, actors on a TV show called "Supernatural."
Meta, much? Yes.
Genevieve Padalecki, Padalecki's real-life wife and former co-star, plays a fictionalized version of herself in the episode... and it looks like Sam isn't too keen on locking lips with the woman who looks exactly like Ruby. We're just wondering what "Genevieve" is going to think of "Jared's" impending freak-out.
Elsewhere in this strange world, a guy who looks an awful lot like Castiel but calls himself Misha Collins is desperately in need of a Twittervention... and isn't quite prepared for the fight he's in for. He's not a rogue warrior angel... he just plays one on TV.
Zap2it was on the scene at Creation Entertainment's Salute to Supernatural in Los Angeles this weekend, where Padalecki and Ackles discussed their craziest fan experiences, including a couple of online fans who insist that they're married to the actors. "There's somebody who says that they are our wives. Someone put online that they're our wives and that our wives are actually stalkers," Padalecki laughed.
"That's pretty weird. Creepy, and also weird," Ackles added. Perhaps the fact that Genevieve, formerly Cortese, is now officially credited by The CW as Genevieve Padalecki will clear up any lingering fan confusion.
If you're looking to get into your favorite actors' good graces, posing as them (or their wives) online isn't the way to their hearts. "I don't have a facebook or a Twitter, I never have," Padalecki clarifies. And as for the posers? "No, it doesn't [stroke my ego]. What strokes my ego is having an intelligent conversation with somebody about something that involves my work. Someone going like 'This is me, I'm Jared,' that's creepy to me. It's that kind of online weirdness, which is obviously very cowardly, because they don't have to take responsibility for what they're doing. It's troublesome."

I like that Genevieve is going by Padalecki now!
That's all I wanted to say....well that and I'm anxious to see this episode now 'cause she's super hot.
Every since Misha gave an interview last year talking about the upcoming meta episode, I have been beside myself with excitment about it. So happy that it is finally airing next week. Something tells me this episode will end up on my list of favorite Supernatural episodes and probably be one of the funniest episodes this season.
That is one awkward kiss, Dean is pretending to not look! Cant wait to see the episode, and the people who pose as the actors and the wives of the actors online and make fake accounts are pathetic.
Oh my good God, that first picture of Misha just made me snort with laughter... this episode is already making my head hurt! So glad Ben Edlund is behind the reins.. otherwise I might've been a tad worried.. but I say bring it!
Incidentally LOVE that Gen has taken Jared's surname, it doesn't seem to happen so much these days when it comes to Hollyweird. Hopefully now those moronic Wares still living in cloud cuckoo land over Jared & Jensen not being married to Gen & Danneel will STFU & get over it. (we can but dream!)
Can't see those so called die hard Jared 'fans' that hate on Genevieve will enjoy seeing him smooch her onscreen again though... Man the torpedoes and take cover! *rolls eyes*

I agree with you, Kati. I'm looking forward to this episode, and I'm one of the fans out here who actually like Genevieve and Danneel, Jared and Jensen's real wives. (Yeah, S. Ware and her BS nauseates me. How is she still allowed to get away with it, anyway?)

This looks good. Twittering Misha adorable. As for Genevieve, I'm a grown woman and she looks great. I hated Ruby but like Genevieve. On a shallow note her black dress is lovely.
Definitely looking forward to this one! Love Ben Edlund, love Genevieve and her bravery for returning as herself (considering the way some fans treat her) and LOVE Dean's reaction to the kiss in that shot! This one's going to be great!

I can't wait till this episode next week! I love when they do weird corkey episodes! And as for those crazy people they need to get a real life.I love both Danneel and Genevieve. Its there personal life and it should stay that way.
