'Supernatural' preview: Sam becomes 'something called a Jared Padalecki'

spn-french-vid.jpg"No, seriously. Why would anybody want to watch our lives?" Dean Winchester asks. We can come up with a few reasons, starting with Jensen Ackles' face and ending with Jared Padalecki's abs... and there's some plot stuff that's okay, too... but we digress.

Ready for a behind-the-scenes look at the "Supernatural" set? This week's much-buzzed about meta episode is sure to be a laugh-fest -- which is totally necessary after 14 episodes of angst, angst, and more angst.

The CW released a new preview clip in which Sam has just finished a rather harsh interview -- apparently the journalist reminded him of the fact that "not very many people" watch the show. (Don't freak out, "Supernatural" fans. The ratings may not be super, but they're great by CW standards, and we have no reason to fear that this will be our last season of Winchesters.)

Dean is unhappy with his stage make-up, but getting glammed up is no big deal compared to the traumatic experience of stumbling across like... five Impalas, some of which are clearly worse for wear. "I feel sick," he coughs. "I'm going to be sick."

Don't forget to catch the episode on Friday, Feb. 25 at 9 p.m. after a brand new "Smallville."

There's been some controversy amongst Zap2it readers about this episode -- before it has even aired! Now that you've seen a clip, are you for or against "Supernatural" diving deep, deep, deep into meta water? Let us know below in the comments.

I don't watch Supernatual but after reading articles about this episode I just started watching it from the start. Won't have time to catch up for friday (blame it on Megavideo and its 72 minutes!) but I can't wait to watch this one...

I'm super excited about this episode! Although i'm alway's happy about a new episode but this one i think is going to be epic.....cant wait for it!!

Oh, man... I can't wait for this episode, I have been looking forward to it since the first post about it. I love when SPN goes meta. I am not sure why people don't like it. To me it shows that the show does not take itself so seriously. It is so much better than dark, deep and angsty every week. I have been watching SPN since the first episode and find that I so look forward to these funny ones.

I think this episode will be just the one we need now since ‘Weekend at Bobby’s’ to bring the darkness mode of the story out into some light.

It’s ‘Behind-the-Scenes’ type feel is like being ‘Behind-the-Scenes’. I also think Misha himself will bring the comedy lines that we know the humor he has inside just dying to come out.

There’s just a good vibe about this show.

Who didn't mention the SUPERNATURAL marathon on Presiden't day? Way to be on the ball with PR guys/gals.

i miss the more comical aspect of the show..the first 13 or 14 eps were really intense!! *lol* i think this ones gonna be great and i can't wait to see if the guys mistake gen for ruby (at first)..

I love Supernatural and I can't wait for this episode on Friday, it's going to be hilarious! Great concept for the show this week!

It will probably mess with our minds too. Can't wait for Friday.

No doubt this new episode has promise, but will it also follow the story arc of Season 6 as Changing Channels did in Season 5?

Every thing I read and see on this episode just gets me more excited. This is going to be fantastic and I loved the clip, thank you Zap2it and CW!
