'Supernatural': 'Buffy's' Amber Benson returns for episode 619

The "Supernatural" news keeps pouring in as the series builds toward another explosive season finale. Zap2it has learned that "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Amber Benson is set to make her return for episode 619, tentatively titled "Mommy Dearest."Benson is currently on location in Vancouver for the episode, which is scheduled to air on April 29. She has filmed scenes with Jim Beaver (Bobby). ""
Benson played "good" vampire Lenore in Season 2's "Bloodlust," where we first met one of our favorite villains, Gordon. Lenore was the head of a group of vampires who were attempting to live peacefully among humans. They fed on cattle blood and tried to blend in to keep hunters like Gordon and the Winchesters off their backs.
Lenore proved that she could resist the temptation of human blood when Gordon tempted her by slicing Sam's arm open. Though Dean initially hesitated to set her free, Sam convinced him to let her and the rest of the non-murderous vamps go.
We're speculating, based on the episode title, that her return is connected to the Mother of All, who, like any over-involved mom, has been driving monsters extra-crazy for the last year and a half. Can Lenore keep her urges under control even with the Mother of All whispering creepy recruitment plans in her ears?
We'll see.

AHHH AMAZING. She was a really great character and I'm psyched to hear she's coming back. This makes me miss Gordon even more!
I'm absolutely thrilled! Every time I watch Bloodlust, I comment on how badly I want Lenore to come back. I never thought it'd actually since it's been so long, but here we are! I'm so excited!

This is awesome! Lenore was the first character who really made the boys think about the greys in hunting; not just everything is black and white. I cannot wait to see what her and her clan are up to now, especially with the Alpha authorizing that vamp army to be made. Plus, Amber Benson is awesome!
I actually like her. I hope they're not bringing her back to kill her. Also I like the fact that despite being 'turned' by blood, it's her choices of how to behave that defines her and not just acting according to blind impulse.
I really liked Lenore and I always thought that there was potential for her to be a recurring character.
Yeah, maybe this means "Mom" will body hop into a better actress--Amber.
I'm so excited! Supernatural has a habit of introducing strong female characters in episodes and never talking about them again. Amber was so strong as Lenore and I'm glad that they're revisiting her character.
Who is next though? Can we bring Sarah back next because Sammy needs somebody to love (yes the Queen song is now playing in my head) and other than Jessica she was always my favorite.
I hate to open Pandora's box but hopefully nothing bad will happen (in this forum). One good thing IMHO since Sera took the lead this season is that the tone of females in the show no matter capacity; are less degrading. Not that it was obvious in the past 5 season but once in a while it's like pebble flicked at your face. This season all through, the subtlety, except for that one scene with poor Meg tied up naked (unnecessarily) and hopefully it's not jut my delusional, female tone of the show are treated much more in the same par with other human beings.
I wish we could get Sarah Michelle Gellar in an episode.
