'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Camille Grammer reflects, 'Maybe, I was naïve'
Camille Grammer is truly embarking on a new life journey these days. Her divorce with Kelsey Grammer is now official. The final episode of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" airs Tuesday (Feb. 15) with the producer's cut of the dinner from hell. And this Thursday, she's guest starring in the season finale of the CBS sitcom, "$#*! My Dad Says.""I play basically a parody of myself," Camille tells Zap2it about her guest appearance. "I'm a real housewife from San Diego and I'm a divorcee. And I'm looking for a new house for me and my children. So, basically it's a parody of my life, but I'm not looking for a house yet."
We think she should hold on to her Malibu pad as long as she can (but we digress).
We also spoke to the housewife about how she felt about her rollercoaster ride of a "Real Housewives" season and what she's planning for this next chapter in her life.
When we spoke with you right after the season premiered, you said you edited yourself a bit and it might have affected how you appeared on-camera.
You know, basically my marriage was falling apart and the cameras were rolling. It's a very difficult position to be in.
What was your decision process like regarding what you would allow the cameras to see?
You know when I went into it, I thought the producers liked me, because they thought I was playful and had a silly quality about myself. I don't know if it was seen as silly on 'Housewives.' It kind of turned into something else. You know, as we were filming the whole Nick thing - that was all just for fun. You know, I'm not having an affair with Nick, never did. He's one of my best friends. His wife is one of my best friends, too. He's very close to Kelsey. So, we went into this thinking, 'let's just have fun with it.' So, maybe I should have taken it a little more seriously.

We speak to a lot of housewives and they usually say the first season is trial by fire.
Absolutely, you don't know. I've heard Lisa [Vanderpump] say I was naïve going into it. And maybe, I was naïve going into it. I just thought, 'Oh, it's going to be fun. We're just going to have fun with it.'
We recently spoke to New York housewife, Alex McCord, who was also unhappy about how she came off in her first season. She told us she believes you should return for Season 2 and make things right. Do you believe that you can do that and do you think you'll come back?
The producers and I have all been talking about it. So, will I come back? Maybe. I haven't made my final decision yet. I think it's something we all have to decide together and we're still discussing that.
Have you gotten used to your name in the headlines by now?
Am I used to it? I don't know if anybody gets used to that. It's hard. It's difficult when you're scrutinized and you're under a public microscope, I find. I find it difficult.
After this experience and now that your divorce is final, what's the next chapter for you?
I don't know [laughs]. We'll see what happens. I take one day at a time and my main focus is on my children. And if things come up, great. I'm up to the challenge and of course I'm in the healing process.
Zappers, do you believe Camille should return for a Season 2?

I can't stand her but she makes for good television so why not bring her back. Season 2 can be where she looks for love in all the wrong places (with Kim in tow).
Let's be honest, hate her or love her she helped make the season entertaining. Otherwise the only drama would have been Kim vs. Kyle, which was just depressing.
She really doesn't fit in with the other "wives" nor does she seem to want to. They should cast someone who is currently married to a movie or tv star and is ready to play along with the likes of Lisa and Adrienne. I liked it best when we saw them just partying and spending scads of money. Both Kim and Camille have more important things to worry about than being on a silly tv show. Just stick to showing the lives of the filthy rich and famous. That's true escapist tv.
I think they should cast Camille in the second season. I do believe that she was cast in a negative light and it would be nice to see how she is doing after her divrce.
Camillie was my favorite and I loved Alison Dubois who called the other housewives on their fakeness and bullshit, specially Kyle. She mocked them all. The only reason why I would think that Camille should leave the show is because they did make her out to be the villain and she is above that. I think they should add Alison Dubois as a housewive. Faith Resnick was just trying to relive her 15 minutes of fame. She wasn't looking out for Kyle, she was just using her to get on the show and to get to Paris Hilton. She exploited the death of her friend Nicole Simpson to make a buck. She wrote a book about her supposedly friend and how she sleep with her and exposed all of Nicole's secret. Kyle you are next.
I'd rather see Taylor--liar, snake--leave.
ive always liked camille, but there were times during the season i went 'she's lost her mind.' the reunion shows, which i almost didn't watch, made me like her more again. yea she's a little ditzy. yea she's a little insecure. yea she's not as innocent as she puts on, but she's also kind. and she was going through a rough time. and she isn't part of the group so she's going to be the outsider, similar to pilar sanders on football wives. i like her.
My suggestion is that Camille move to Allison DuBois territory of Phoenix ... and then Bravo could have a new Housewives show featuring BOTH of those biyotches! One doesn't have to be "psychic" to successfully predict that the ratings for THAT show would go up thru the roof!
.... KNOW THAT!!!
