Laurel Kagay claims 'Bachelor' Brad Womack proposed to her prior to the show

laurel-kagay.jpgIt's Wednesday, must be "Bachelor" scandal day! The latest incarnation is a former girlfriend of Brad Womack's claiming he asked her to marry him all the time over the course of their relationship, including "right before" he left to film the show.

Laurel Kagay tells US Weekly that they dated on and off for eight years and that his most recent marriage proposal happened just weeks before he left to shoot "The Bachelor."

"Even when we weren't together, he would say how much he loved me and was going to marry me," says Kagay. She also says he was emailing her during his taping of the show.

Now, the emailing during the show part (if true) is a little sketchy, but we don't really understand what "scandal" there is with the other part. Correct us if we're wrong, but this Laurel never says she said yes. She supposedly dated Brad on and off for eight years and he repeatedly asked her to marry him. But since she (apparently) never said yes, what's the big deal with him leaving her and going on the show?

We guess he supposedly proposed  just weeks before he left to film the show, but it kind of sounds like "The Bachelor" was really struggling with finding just the right person for the show, so perhaps he proposed but had only been peripherally talking about going on the show, she said no yet again and so he told "The Bachelor" let's do this.

We don't know what happened. But this "scandal" does seem to be much ado about nothing. Kagay also tells US, "I'm sure the girl he picked would want to know that he was proposing to another woman right before he started taping the show. I would want to know."

Laurel also apparently wants to get her name and face on a magazine. We're sure that had nothing to do with this.

Laurel has been trying for "fame" for years. I take this with a complete grain of salt. Just another "Fame Ho".

I agree - she's just using Brad as a way to get attention on her once again. Go away Laurel, no one cares!

I agree with the article that this is much ado about nothing.

If Laurel rejected him, then what's the big deal if he decides to move on and do the show? Even if he proposed weeks before or every day for a year- she turned him down. Game over for her.

He had every right to move on and was not being unfaithful. Better to move on to the future than dwell on the past so Brad is justified while this woman comes across as a fame *****.

I agree that she just seems to want to get her mug in a magazine, but I think the "scandal" is that he had made a big deal about being afraid of getting engaged the last time. I guess that is "scandal" by Bachelor standards. Personally, I just wish HE would go away!

They're both media ****** who would be perfect for one another and this show is an outright scam!

This is the same girl who claimed to be Wes's "girlfriend" that Jake told Jillian about on the Bachelor! Come on, she is just trying to get publicity!

Publicity, publicity, publicity! That's all she wants.

To all the viewers, you have to widen your thinking why Brad chose
Emily, its bec. she's been a mother and knows on how to raise
a child of her own all by herself
and yet she is classy, not cheap, sophisticated, not affected to
anything and she really let the guy chase her and adore her. Whatever his past, Laurel don't have to be guilty, well its too late he chose the woman he fell in
love so get off it, okay. Leave
them alone and let them figure it
out. I can see Brad loves her that much, he probably see something with Emily that anyone don't have, we'll see.
We saw every Monday ( The Bachelor ) all the time so we know.
