Jesse Metcalfe and Julie Gonzalo join TNT's 'Dallas'
"Desperate Housewives" and "Chase" alum Jesse Metcalfe has beat out Alex Russell for the role of Christopher, Bobby and Pam Ewing's adopted son, in TNT's updated "Dallas," TV Line reports. "Veronica Mars'" Julie Gonzalo has also been cast in a lead role in the pilot.The new "Dallas" centers on the offspring of brother/rivals J.R. and Bobby Ewing -- J.R.'s son John Ross (Metcalfe's fellow "Desperate Housewives" alum Josh Henderson) and his cousin Christopher (Metcalfe). John and Christopher will clash over the Ewing dynasty while the fate of Southfork weighs in the balance.
Gonzalo will be playing Christopher's fiancee Rebecca and recently appeared on "Nikita" and co-starred on "Eli Stone."
"Dallas" is from "Cane" creator Cynthia Cidre and also stars Jordana Brewster. Three stars from the original "Dallas" -- Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy -- will be reprising their roles.

Anyway, if they want a "Chase" alum, they should have picked Cole Hauser. He'd be perfect to play a ranch-hand/ cowboy and looks like he could be Dusty Farlow's son.
Christopher is john Ross' adoptive brother, not cousin FYI

Christopher is Bobby and Pam's adopted son. John Ross is JR and Sue Ellen's son. That makes them cousins not brothers. Also of note: Christopher is Sue Ellen's biological nehpew since his mother was Kristen.
Mal...actually, Christopher is indeed John Ross' cousin. Christopher is the son of Kristen Shepard, Sue Ellen's sister who famously shot J.R. Christopher could only be John Ross' brother if his father was J.R. or his mother was Sue Ellen.
I have read that Priscilla Presley will reprise her role of Jenna Wade (at least for the pilot). She and Bobby also had a child - Lucas Wade Ewing. I wonder if he will be a part of the younger cast, as he would be younger than Christopher. Lucas was born on the original "Dallas" in 1987, which would make him approx. 24 years old.
