'Grey's Anatomy': McSteamy is in a McPickle

It seems everyone is in a good place at the end of Thursday's (Feb. 3) episode of "Grey's Anatomy" except for one very handsome cosmetic surgeon.
Outside of Mark (played by Eric Dane), the other surgeons of Seattle Grace-Mercy West have found a way to settle their problems (for now). Bailey (Chandra Wilson) gets to tweet during surgeries now that the chief has bought into it. After feeling left out from Derek's (Patrick Dempsey) clinical trials, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) is back on the project.
We thought that things would be a lot worse for Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) after the big pregnancy reveal in the last episode. Instead, Callie seemed more resolved to forgive Arizona. And Arizona was willing to push aside her anger at Callie having had sex with Mark, so that she could be there for Callie and the baby. So, the big challenge going forward is how to make sure Callie doesn't freak out. Obviously after George cheated on her and Arizona went to Africa without her, she fears being left alone with the baby. But, we think Mark will always be there. After all, this is what he has been wanting. And while we foresee some tough times ahead for her and Arizona, we don't think Arizona wants to go anywhere either.
So, that leaves Mark's little dilemma. It's obvious after Mark's daughter stayed with them that Little Grey (Chyler Leigh) isn't ready to be anyone's stepmom. So, it was totally true to form that she would be pissed at the news that Mark will soon be a father again right after they've gotten back together.
It's a tough situation he's in, but the fact remains that he's going to be a dad in seven months whether or not he's with Lexie. So, either she'll just have to come around or he'll need to move on. There is the possibility that he'll decide to be the "fun uncle" as Callie offered, but we don't see (nor do we want) him making that decision.
What do you think Mark will do? And what do you think of Kevin McKidd's (who plays Owen) directorial debut? Did he do you proud?

In the third paragraph you stated: "Instead, Callie seemed more resolved to forgive Arizona. And Arizona was willing to push aside her anger at Callie having had sex with Eric, so that she could be there for Callie and the baby. So, the big challenge going forward is how to make sure Callie doesn't freak out."
I'm pretty sure that Callie (a fictional character) wouldn't have had sex with Eric (an actor playing a fictional character named Mark), though she did have sex with Mark. You may want to change that sentence for accuracy. Otherwise, fairly decent review.
The episode was one of the best this season. I love that they saved Lexie's reaction for last like they did with Arizona last show. I think Lexie will come around, but her reaction was appropriate and it also shows that she is growing up some - because the old Lexie would have kept her feelings inside. The stuff with Meredith and Derek was super cute.
How is he in a "McPickle?" The cat is already out of the bag. Had the show ended prior to him telling Lexie, then one could say he's got a dilemma. He's told people he's the dad. The cool uncle option is off the table.
As for the Directorial debut... it sucked. The constant cutting from scene to scene... sometimes every 10 seconds was unnerving. The 'staging' of characters looked too staged, everybody walking in unison, the constant smirking... next year they could be nominated for an Emmy in the Comedy category! The stories were OK but it was like watching an MTV video... the music was distracting. Throw in all the commercials... it was an exhausting Vertigo inducing hour.
I have always loved Lexie and have always wanted her and Mark to be together. It seems out of character for her to be this upset; everybody knew that Callie and Mark were "friends with benefits" and Lexie should know Mark well enough to know that he really wants a child, considering all he went through with his daughter.
I don't think Lexie hated the idea of THAT baby so much as she hated the idea of the daughter moving in on them and taking total and complete advantage of Mark.
Another thing is - he's a lot older than she is and it's not evil for him to want a child. She's so smart she should realize this. I'm going to be upset if we have to go through the rest of the season with them fighting AGAIN.
Callie's histrionics were a little much and considering that she is a doctor, I hope she calms down. That crazy act of hers will get old in a hurry.
Thanks, Just Me. Fixed.
Just Me - it's crazy for a girlfriend to be pissed that her boyfriend has ANOTHER child with someone who isn't her? It's out of character to be upset that after just getting back together (he pursued her) she now has to be slapped in the face with this. No - I think it is a completely justified reaction to the situation. She will probably mull it over and realize that this is something he wants and she loves him so she will forgive.
I am so over "Calzona" I can't stand the Arizona character and Jessica Capshaw is a terrible actress. The show is trying to destroy the character of Callie...one of my favorites.
I also think that Derrick and Meredith have run their course
Don't see why Mark stays with Lexie. She could be her father as Lexie is roughly Mark's daugher's age. Unsure if you want to be around a woman [at the current pace] won't get pregnant until her thirties - making Mark in his fifties. By the time the kid is roughly old enough to get married, Mark will be in his seventies. All this assuming he doesn't fool around on the side and/or divorce Lexie - if they ever get married.
He may be McSteamy but some say McCreapy. He should get involved with someone closer to his age [Callie?].
Worst story line on the show EVER hands down. I have no interest in watching Callie-Mark-Arizona baby drama. It's like scraping nails on a chalkboard, both irritating and painful.
