'Gossip Girl's' Leighton Meester talks Dan and Blair: 'I think they're good for each other'
Well, this probably won't do anything to tame the tension between "Dair" fans and "Chair" fans.
"Gossip Girl" fans have been arguing for months now over the show's latest will-they-or-won't-they couple: Dan (Penn Badgley) and Blair (Leighton Meester).
Now, we finally have Queen B's thoughts on the odd couple, who duked it out for an internship at W Magazine in the last episode.
"I like that friendship," Meester tells MTV of Dan and Blair. "I can't tell you what's going to happen. I like working with Penn and so that's been very fun. I think they're good for each other in a lot of ways, in a way that Chuck and Blair aren't."

Before you Chuck and Blair fans start sharpening your pitchforks, Meester did say she still has hope for everyone's favorite gruesome twosome. "I like Chuck and Blair though. I think they're good together. And sexy."
Just like Meester, we are legitimately torn between the two couples. While Dan and Blair give great banter and are intellectually compatible, Chuck and Blair are... well, they're Chuck and Blair. Here's hoping for a scandalous new love triangle to emerge on the Upper East Side.

Well ultimately Chuck is the right guy for her, but I actually like the idea of her & Dan. I think they'll be interesting together.
I agree. I was and still am a huge fan of Chuck and Blair. But I'm suprised by how much I LOVE Dan and Blair together.
They make the show seem so fresh even though it's season four. I love the idea of this coupling and waiting to see where it goes!
And yes a love triangle (eventually)
I dont know how Chuck can be considered the right guy for her when he tried to ***** her off to his uncle and had the nerve to propose right after he took Jenny's virginity.
I ultimately want chuck and blair together, they are endgame for me, but we have had three and a half seasons of them being the main ship. I love Dan and blair's progressing friendship and i am hoping it grows into something more. They are really revitalizing this show, they have made me excited for the show again. I am ready to dare to "Dair", as long as I still get "Date"
I can't believe I'm saying this... but I've changed to Dan & Blair. They're really fun to watch.
love both as couples. For now, it would be great to see where this Dan and Blair thing takes us, but at the end of it all, Chuck and Blair should be together.
I use to be a HUGE Chair shipper but I think Dair are an amazing couple and I really hope their ENDGAME!
