It was only a matter of time. And given the conversation between Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith) in the Feb. 15 episode, we knew it was coming soon.

"Glee" is stepping out with original songs, and though they won't appear in the series until the March 15 episode, you can safely bet that you'll be hearing them much sooner. The first two "Glee" originals are included in the Volume 5 soundtrack, out March 8.

So what do we know of these tunes -- other than the fact that at least one of them will be fictionally penned by Rachel Berry? FOX describes one of them, "Loser Like Me," as "an energetic ensemble track." It was co-written by pop producer Max Martin (of Britney Spears and P!nk fame). There's also "Get It Right," a ballad with an undisclosed pedigree sung by Rachel.

Of course, covers will be the series' bread and butter for the foreseeable future. Here's the complete track list for Volume 5:

1. Thriller/Heads Will Roll
2. Need You Now
3. She's Not There
4. Fat Bottomed Girls
5. P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)
6. Firework
7. Baby
8. Somebody To Love
9. Take Me or Leave Me
10. Sing
11. Don't You Want Me
12. Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)
13. Kiss
14. Landslide
15. Get It Right
16. Loser Like Me

I just finished watching the episode on alcohol on Glee! I am sorry to say it will be my last episode I will watch of Glee! This show used to be wholesome with great music. Now it has become a trashy, mindless show. The alcohol show was totally inappropriate. The writers are missing the mark!

Anyone catch that "Community" episode from last season where they were having a paintball battle against a Glee Club? The lead character screams to the glee club "WRITE SOME ORIGINAL SONGS!!!"

Looks like they finally listened.
