Finally! 'Smallville' welcomes Michael Rosenbaum back for series finale

The will-he-or-won't-he has been brutal.As recently as last night, unnamed sources told Entertainment Weekly that Michael Rosenbaum had officially turned down an offer from "Smallville" producers to return for the show's two-hour series finale. The producers, however, were still hoping he'd change his mind.
Looks like he did.
"I'm delighted to return for the series finale," Rosenbaum tells Michael Ausiello's new venture TVLine. "I'm simply doing it for all of the fans out there who made 'Smallville' the great success it is. I appreciate all of their passion, their relentlessness, and even their threats. Ha ha."
Relentlessness? Where?
"It feels like the stars are aligning, literally," say producers Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson. "We couldn't be more excited. And as far as the way he returns... there'll be no doubt about how Lex becomes the great rival in Clark Kent's life. He is the villain of the story."
We can't wait... now we're just hoping that this time, it sticks. Now only one question remains, Rosenbaum: Bic or bald cap?

This is excellent news. I'm so glad that Michael has opted to come back for the series finale! It wouldn't be a satisfying end without him.

This is awesome news. Hope his return will help them to dial down the suckage.
Hope they bring in his exo-suit from the comics. Except, with this show's track record, they'll probably screw it up...
Now if only Kristen Kreuk come back,the ratings will go up so high.
I have been a Smallville watcher since day one and I'm more than happy Michael is coming back for the finale. I wish Lana(Kristen) would make an appearance also but given the romance of Clark and Lois I doubt if they would have her back for the finale. For what reason?
Also hope Clark will wear the "suit" in the finale. The writers always had spectacular endings for season finales so I know the grand finale will be great. I'm getting misty eyed already. lol

That's great news. I'm glad that the changed his mind. I mean even Terry Hatcher who did a Superman shows years ago and never had anything to do Smallville was willing to play a part in Smallvile's final season. He would have looked like a complete douche if he didn't come back for a single episode.
