Chris Medina's 'What Are Words': Watch former 'American Idol' contestant's video premiere

Has an "American Idol" contestant ever started up a music career this quickly after being booted from the show? Chris Medina, who won the hearts of America with the story of his fiancee's tragic accident, which happened five months before their wedding, has released his first video for "What Are Words."The song was written and produced by the famed music master Rodney Jerkins, and was inspired by Medina's story. "It's a song about making promises and fulfilling them, about telling someone you love that you'll be there and having them be able to count on you because you said it. Because the words that you say really mean something. It's a powerful song," Medina tells PopEater.
He'll perform the song tonight (Feb. 25) on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," but in the meantime, you can watch his video premiere below. What do you think?

While there was a great deal of talent in this year's American Idol crop, Chris is a shining star and he should have remained. Surely someone will pick him up. On the Tuesday when his CD is released, hopefully I will be in a long, long line to take one home. I wish him and Juliana all the best. I do believe in miracles and that couple's perseverance shows me that they believe too.
