'American Idol': Casey Abrams blows everyone away

Casey Abrams took the judges' panel by storm in Austin, TX on "American Idol" on "I Don't Need No Doctor" by Ray Charles. We loved him too and hope to see him advance far in the competition.But we did a little YouTubing and found out he has put together several videos where he performs songs and does all the parts himself. Our favorites were his a capella version of "Lullaby of Birdland," an incredibly hard old jazz piece, and "L-O-V-E," where he plays all the instruments.
Clearly, Casey is a talented musician, not just at vocals but also at several instruments, so we can't wait to see what he does if he's a semi-finalist and gets to perform with instrumentation. What did you think of Casey Abrams? Are you in "L-O-V-E"? Check out the full "American Idol" recap here.

Hey all of you. I went to school with Casey. Eccentric? Not at all. He just loves his music. And beards may not be in fashion but he has had one since forever. That's just who he is.

Idol is ABOUT talent, not looks. And why is a guy considered eccentric just because he isn't YOUR status quo? You've been watching too much Idol. I saw/heard this guy at his senior yr recital. He is just talented and so human. Beautiful human being. Will be a joy to many along his life's road with or without AI. He has soooo much to give. And coming from people of the same caliber. Go Casey!
