USA's 'Fairly Legal': What did you think?
The largely male line-up of USA characters adds a female lead with "Fairly Legal" and Kate Reed (Sarah Shahi) on Jan. 20.A former lawyer who gets sick of the legal system and becomes a mediator, Kate is pretty... chipper.
Her cutesy-ness even extends to her ring tones, which include different "Wizard of Oz" related photos and theme songs for the different people in her life. They're all charmingly fitting until we see the one for her recently-deceased father. Buzz kill.
Still, it's refreshing to get a legal dramedy coming from the mediator perspective. And a good-hearted heroine doesn't hurt either. It's like "Legally Blonde" -- if it had starred a brunette.
But is it worth a spot on your DVR? Let us know what you thought of the premiere.

She's the most beautiful girl on the planet.
the show was fresh and clever and i love shahi as kate. i also like how the writers added dimensions with to the step-mom. the 'extra mile' scene and kate admitting it was easier to hate her showed she wasn't quite a wicked witch after-all. kate and leo's dynamic is cute and so was her relationship with her bro. jury's still out on the ex though. they seem too close to be divorced. i mean they clearly still care for one another, they're still shagging, and also deal with each other professionally...there just seems to still be chemistry there and i'm not so sure there should be (more like ross and rachel on a break rather than two divorcees). still, i thought the pilot was really good and Fairly will definitely be dominating thursday nights on my big screen.
Very cliched and extremely boring. Very artificial too.
Not bad. The Ring Tones/Pics were cute - but they should not over do that. It was a little over-preachy about how 'justice' should win - but let's hope that was just setting up character beliefs and will not be that way all the time. I mean - how many times will we be able to listen to her beg clients to do the right thing ? But get rid of those ridiculous heels - or stop having this woman run. She looked ridiculous running in those things. It's so fake to have this woman who can't afford to rent an apartment - according to her ex - to have those expensive heels !

Liked it until the g--damn bomb was dropped. No reason for that. I won't be watching.
I thought it was too much like Legally Blonde 2. Made no sense at all. It seems that USA is going for shows that have to character that is believable. Would not watch again. I did not like Covert Affairs. Both of these shows are non believable. The acting is D- at best.
A terrific show; writing, acting, plot, etc. Sarah does a great job at mixing emotion, comedy, drama and pulling it all off successfully. She's a winner as is the show. Hats off to USA. I'm already a loyal fan of White Collar. By the way, anybody know if Covert Affairs is returning ?? Sure hope so.
What a waste of time. I think it by far the worst show ever by USA network
Very stupid and boring..TOO much unnecessary, back and forth dialogue. Get to the point of the story lines - make it funny, interesting, with SOME dramatics
