'The Cape': Your first look at the opening credits
Zap2it has the first look anywhere at the title sequence for NBC's new series "The Cape."
The show wears its comic-book inspiration proudly, and the opening credits reflect that. Before we see any live-action images of series stars David Lyons, Summer Glau or James Frain, we see about 20 seconds of comic-book panels depicting our hero -- cop-turned-masked avenger Vince Faraday (Lyons) -- and his adventures in Palm City. (Comic artists Michael Gaydos, Gabriel Hardman and John Cassady created the pen-and-ink versions of the characters.)
The accompanying music by "Battlestar Galactica" and "Human Target" composer Bear McCreary is appropriately old-school and dramatic as well.
"The Cape" premieres at 9 p.m. ET Sunday (Jan. 9) on NBC. What do you think of the credit sequence? Pretty cool, no?

Theme is by the always-awesome Bear McCreary!!
Looks interesting. I give it 3 weeks.
Don't like it.
It looks interesting, possibly a rip of Batman but interesting none the less in that it's not a traditional (and overdone) medical, cop or lawyer show.
That being said, I wonder how many of the viewers will just be watching for Summer Glau whom has a very loyal fan base?

I like it. This is my most anticipated show of the 2010/2011 season. I can't wait for Sunday!
And yes, I love Summer Glau.
This looks like it could turn into something. Hey, at least THIS
hero wears a COSTUME.
Looks like The Cape has some potential. I’m happy they don’t stick Summer Glau behind a desk like Chloe on Smalville or make her a damsel in distress or something. She’s too much of a badass for that.
And what AWESOME actors they have cast as villians! Lookin forward to some criminal masterminds or simply twisted baddies in this and not some one-dimensional nemesis like so many shows have.
The Cape Looks awesome, I can’t wait. Seeing Summer Glau in it reminds me of how Terminator got cancelled before its time…Anyways, looks like it’ll be great. From what I can remember mid-season replacements are rarely very good and don’t get picked up for additional seasons. Hopefully this will break that trend because it looks great and more superhero-esque than “Heroes” ever was..
looking forward to The Cape as well. I’m hoping it does not wander into the “hero full of angst” realm, and that we don’t have to suffer the indignity of a mystical or magical component. Plus yes, it’ll be good to watch Summer stretch her acting bounds. I guess there are positives and negatives with being typecast, so I’m interested in seeing her in something other than Ican-kill-anything roles.
THIS IS KICKING MY ***!!! I'm more excited to see this than Green Lantern LOL :))
