'Smallville' first look: Allison Mack returns as Chloe... to take away Clark's powers?
We know it's been a long, dark, cold hiatus, but Zap2it has your first look at the return of "Smallville" -- and the return of Allison Mack as fan favorite Chloe Sullivan. When Chloe returns in the Jan. 28 episode, she does so in a cloud of mystery. The gang still doesn't know where she's been or understand her unexplained disappearance - and Clark (Tom Welling) finds it hard to trust her... which won't surprise any of you after you see this clip.
At the end of the last episode, "Icarus," the whole Justice League (plus Lois) were knocked out after saying goodbye to fallen friend Hawkman. In the return episode, "Collateral," Lois and Clark are released.
"It was the VRA," Clark says. "They were waiting for us at Carter's funeral."
Clark's release doesn't come without a caveat, though - he's lost his powers, and a terrifying flashback suggests that it's Chloe who may be behind the whole thing. But why would Chloe want to render Clark helpless? Did she team up with the VRA after we lost track of her?
You definitely won't want to miss our first glimpse of Chloe's scary-as-hell appearance in the clip below - which also features a particularly awesome Lois (Erica Durance) moment, by the way. Nobody messes with the General's daughter.
Don't forget to let us know your thoughts in the comments! Do you think Chloe's gone over to the dark side?

Whoa that's trippy man. Nice to see Clark. Thanks for this.
Thanks so much for this.
All I can say is : Chloe I miss you !
Thanks!
I was hoping for more than a glimpse of Chloe but it's better than nothing :)
OMG, thank you so much for the clip. So happy to see clois after the long break.
Thank you so much for the clip.Love Clois so much..
Thank you for sharing this awesome clip with us! Lois is being particularly badass as always and I love Chloe (the real one or the fake?) being in this murky position, the sinister undertones, the Matrix reference! I love it. The tension in this clip alone makes me hopeful for the episode, really hopeful. Hope it lives up to it.
This is such a bait and switch. You promise the Chloe fans who haven't seen her in a real episode since Lazarus save for edited clips shoved back into things, and instead we get 3+ minutes of Clois and brief glimpses of Chloe. WHY WOULD YOU NOT ACTUALLY SHOW CHLOE?
Ugh, I'll never believe Zap2It again.
Thank you for the clip. It's nice to finally see Clark! I do wish that articles like this would refrain from using the words "fan favorite" to describe any character. All the characters on this show have huge fanbases. Thank you again!
Your "treat" for "Chloe fans" has her in like three seconds of a three and a half minute clip, delivering one line? Gosh, what a "treat," I feel spoiled rotten.
This is horrible. We wait for a clip of Chloe after months without her. It's hyped as a "Chloe Fan" treat and it's just Clark/Lois for three minutes and a flash of Chloe.
What a cruel bait and switch!
