'Life Unexpected' Season 3: Could it happen?

It's no secret that "Life Unexpected's" ratings have dipped in its second season - or that they were never spectacular to begin with, even by the CW's standards. The show has hovered perpetually in the "not dead yet" zone - and it looks like it's going to stay there for a few more months.Officially, The CW has not canceled the show, but this isn't out of the ordinary. In fact, there will probably never be an official cancellation statement - more likely we simply won't see "Life Unexpected" on the Fall 2011 schedule when it's announced in May at the network Upfronts.
Plus, of course, there's the little issue of the Season 2 finale, which aired on Tuesday and brought the series to a definite conclusion. If you haven't watched yet, don't read on, because - Spoiler alert! - in the final moments of the second hour, the gang flashed forward two years to Lux's high school graduation. As valedictorian, Lux made a gorgeous speech (the "light years" metaphor made us cry!) while her family looked on.
Her family, comprised of Ryan and Julia (a couple) and their son, and Cate and Baze (also a couple). Even Math's girlfriend was preggo. Lux was with Jones (who has really been the right guy all along) and Tasha was juvie-free and college bound.
There's not really anywhere to go from such a neatly bound wrap-up. Additionally, a "Complete Series" DVD release, with all 26 episodes, has been scheduled for April 5 via Warner Home Video, and Kristoffer Polaha's holding deal with CBS is a pretty clear indicator that they're making final "Life Unexpected" arrangements.
"There's always a little hope," creator Liz Tigelaar told Zap2it earlier this week, when we asked if it was still worth it for fans to campaign and petition. "I mean, why not? It can't hurt, right?"
Stars Polaha and Shiri Appleby pitched a sitcom spin-off called "Life, Unexpected!" complete with theme song and Lux beanies, but we'll let them explain that one to you here.
In short: We're not holding our breath for Season 3, but we're feeling awfully warm and fuzzy about the way Season 2 wrapped up. What did you think of the season (and possibly series) finale, Zappers? Let us know in the comments below!

i really enjoyed watching this show but don't see why it needed to come to end so quickly. i think that you should make a season 3 because the 2 years later kind of made you think how did all 4 couples ended up together? that meaning cate and baze, ryan and julia, math and the preggo friend of cate, and lux and jones. i loved the chemistry of lux and mr. daniels and i really didnt want them to end even though it was wrong to start out with in the first please but its what kept me watching. so please consider making a season 3. maybe start out as a flash back and see how the college years of lux takes u from there. so dont end the show. it was top of this list of my favorite tv shows on CW.
I LOVE THE SHOW.. AND I WILL BE VERY SAD IF THEY DON'T COME BACK I KNOW ITS WRONG BUT I WAS REALLY ROOTING FOR LUX AND MR. DANIELS. I AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO LOOKED FORWARD TO WATCH THE SHOW AND FOR TONIGHT SEASON FINALLY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR IT FOREVER AND I HAVE TO SAY I AM HAPPY WITH THE ENDING BESIDE LUX AND MR. DANIELS SO SHOULD COME BACK I WAS HOPING HE WOULD COME BACK IN THE END..
i love this show! but i want more ...i wanna know how cate and base got together ... what happened?? i dont understand how the ratings cud have been down i loved this show!!!it was so goood! u shud bring it back and show us how they all gotto that point... and lux and the teacher ! iloved that! this shud def not be the last episode!

JUST WATCHED LIFE UNEXPECTED AND I HAVE TO SAY I AM NOT GOING TO BE A HAPPY CAMPER IF THESE WAS THE LAST ONE.. I KNOW ITS WRONG BUT I WAS REALLY ROOTING FOR LUX AND THE TEACHER.. AND THE END KINDA SUCKS.. CAUSE MR. DANIELS DIDN'T COME BACK.
Just finished watching and may I say....I hated how it ended. They should have just ended if with the triial and cut out the whole Emma affair thing. I mean urgh! I mean I'm happy with how they handled the whol Lux and Mr. Danielles thing, but really they should have added a scene where Lux was of legal age and having them reunite in someway! Urgh, I'm sorry but, It's just so sad that I show that was so real, had to end to cliche and fake. Well, II'll just be in denila and make my own ending.
Definitely LOVE this show! It was finally nice to see a show that I can relate to! Sad to hear that they might cancel it!
I loved this show. It seems every time I find a show I really like it bites the dust. If this is the case for life unexpected then tanks for giving an ending to everything instead of just leaving us hanging.( In hopes for another season)
i absolutely LOVED the show!! i didn't know it was OVER until i just googled it. what a heart break!! and i liked the ending but i would have loved a season 3 to explain how all that happened!!!!
