Kathy Griffin gets off 'The D-List': Bravo show ending, but more specials on the way

kathy-griffin-320.jpgBravo issued a press release Wednesday (Jan. 5) announcing four comedy specials starring Kathy Griffin for 2011, but it buried the lead -- or rather, didn't mention it at all: Griffin has decided to walk away from her reality show "My Life on the D-List."

The show's sixth season, which aired last summer, was its last, Griffin says.

"It was a really tough decision, because I think of the 'D-List' as pretty much my baby for the last six seasons, and I also think it was really time to stop doing it," Griffin tells People. "Reality is great, but I really didn't set out to be a reality star. So now it's time to spread my wings and show that I'm a little different than Kate Gosselin.

"I'm not saying better, but maybe separate myself from the pack a little bit."

The four comedy specials will air quarterly on Bravo this year. The first will tape in Milwaukee in February.

Thank God!

I'd still hit it

I really enjoyed the show and will miss seeing it.

Ding Dong the Witch is DEAD!!

Her show's ending cause she's ugly.

The link on the main page refers to her 'ending her life on the D list'. That is a bit misleading and rather cruel to get people's hopes up like that.

Time to retire Kathy Griffin...you're mean and we're over you...
