'Glee' couples dish: Sam and Quinn are dunzo because Ryan Murphy is bored

chord-overstreet-glee-tap-320.jpgThere's about to be a "Glee" shake-up, ladies and gentlemen! Now, we'd like to note that we take executive producer Ryan Murphy's words with a grain of salt - he's been wrong in the past, about his own show - but this time he sounds serious.

The latest couple headed for disaster? Sam and Quinn. Murphy tells EW, "I got bored. They were too perfect."

We hate to be the ones to point this out, but... aren't there two other people in charge of this show?

Unsurprisingly, the very blond breakup is bad news for Finnchel fans who are hoping to see Finn and Rachel patch things up sooner rather than later.

Quinn will once again take comfort in the arms of Finn, who will apparently totally forgive her for that whole pregnancy debacle last season.

Sam, meanwhile, "needs a little salsa spice" according to Murphy... so he's going to hook up with Santana.

Meanwhile, Puck and Lauren are going to take the next step beyond "seven minutes in heaven" and give romance a go. Kurt and Blaine are also finally going to get together - and they'll look adorable, if the cover of EW (below) is anything to go by.

Still solo? Rachel. Which is just as well - wouldn't want her to run out of things to sing sad songs about.EW-kurt-blaine-large.jpg

Carina, I LOVE the tone of this article. You're expressing the frustrations that long-time fans of Glee are currently feeling right now. You break a couple up BECAUSE YOU'RE BORED??? If Murphy was thinking about consistent character motivation or continuity for the bazillion characters he is still adding on to the (already stuffed) show, he wouldn't be BORED!

Ryan Murphy, thanks to you I now hate this show. Finn will be the most hated character in tv for going back to Quinn. I will no longer be watching this train wreck. Isn't this show about a glee club? Striving to win? Overcoming odds? It isn't the young and the restless...I thought. This show is no longer worth viewers time...I give it two more seasons and it is toast. It is a shame, they had a gem. Finn and Rachel were adorable leaders, Kurt was fierce, Brittany and Santana were funny...now it is all silly nonsense. Bye bye glee!

just bring back kurt to new directions... and bring along with w\him blaine... and i'll be fine with that

Yeah Ryan, the feeling is mutual. I was a faithful viewer during season 1. Minus Kurt's storyline, Season 2 was a snoozefest.

The should focus less on relationships and more on the characters' ambitions and dreams in life. I'm still a Gleek though!

I don't get it. Rachel's a horrible person because after Finn hurt her, she made the poor decision of kissing another guy to get back at him and Finn could never forgive her for that. But he could totally forgive the girl who slept with his best friend and lied about a baby without provocation? I was well aware of the lack of consistency and forward character development on this show, but this is just getting ridiculous. It's becoming unwatchable. I love that Ryan Murphy created these characters but what the hell is he doing to them???

Am I really the only one that Blaine is kind of a jerk? It seems like Kurt is the punchline to some private Warblers joke. I hope that Sam decides to give bi-a-try when Santana opens up about her relations with Britney. I'd sure like to be a Surt or Kam fan.

And Ryan Murphy is bored by Quinn and Sam? Why doesn't he give them an exciting storyline instead of a boring one then? He does control these characters, right? I kind of liked Quinn and Sam together and was really hoping that a Quinn/Sam/Kurt triangle was in store. I'd have loved to see Quinn and Kurt fighting over a boy.

We have gay characters in television now. Why not some bisexual characters?

Nobody cares that you just ruined the upcoming half of the season?

I agree with Tru's comment that it seems pretty inconsistent to have Finn forgive Quinn for all that she did and not forgive Rachel.

I LIKE Sam and Quinn together. Murphy can alleviate his boredom by doing more with their characters rather than having everyone swap partners. Good grief.

And I'd really rather the storylines get away from the romances so much and back on OTHER struggles that teens have.

Here's an idea: stop matching up New Directions members!! Bring in other kids as love interests. Seriously, the incestuous nature of the glee club is wearing thin.
