'American Idol': Stormi Henley -- yay or nay?

Former Miss Teen USA Stormi Henley made it through to Hollywood on "American Idol" Thursday (Jan. 27), but it was a split decision.Henley sang "Father Can You Hear Me" for the judges at the Nashville auditions, and while Steven Tyler thought her voice was strong -- if a little restrained. Jennifer Lopez disagreed, saying she didn't think Henley had enough of what it takes. So it came down to Randy Jackson, and, big surprise, the pretty girl got through.
At this point, we think we might be with Lopez. It's not that Henley has a bad voice, but we don't see it as quite up to par with some of the best we've heard in the audition round. But who knows? Maybe what Tyler heard in her can come to the forefront in the Hollywood round and beyond.
Her audition is below. What do you think of her chances? Will Stormi Henley be done by the Hollywood round, or will she stay around longer than that?

I see a bright future at Fox News for her, but not on Fox's "American Idol."
The current state of the music industry shows you don't always need great talent to succeed. The stage skills she learned for her pageants may very well help her when it comes to performing songs in front of an audience too. We all know there are plenty of Idol contestants who can sing but look like robots up there.

Hey, if Ms. Lopez can have a singing career, ANYONE can! J Lo never would have made it to Hollywood if she were auditioning for American Idol when she was younger.
We get it, men and women Stormi is gorgeous and easy on the eyes! Even she said in her Ms. America Teen contest they didn't need to have talent, and she could never be more right. Maybe in the bedroom which possibly she can pursue porn flicks or model for Playboy, but singing???? Randy and Steven vote with your heads, not your di@#s! As a mother i'm uneasy about Steven and Randy's pedofile behavior; very disturbing to say the least. And Steven has daughters, yikes? She she sounds like a mouse or the woman in the classic movie...Singing in the Rain for whom Debbie Reynolds was behind the curtain actually doing the vocals. You just compromised the show and your pedofile tendencies. REALITY CHECK-this is why i quit watching American Idol cause the truly talented don't make it to the top.
Maybe she can be like JLo and get by with a mediocre singing.
I agree.. who is Jlo to determine who has what it takes? Maybe she can hook up with Diddy and he can buy her a career in singing too. It worked for Jennifer.
No. I think she will be done pretty quickly. She has an okay voice, but there are others with a lot more at this point. However, in HW some people rise and some people crumble. Only time will tell.
Jennifer Lopez: Steven....Really? Really? Really? No, Really? hahahahha. She is beautiful & Steven made his decision before she sang....typical. LOL! Her voice is "good", not Idol great, however. Nice voice...nothing extraordinary. Really? haha.
No way should this woman have been let through to the Hollywood round. Her voice "affectations" were not her own . . . she sounded like she was copying influences from other artists which she has adopted.
