'American Idol' pranks: 'We thought Mr. Tyler had an issue with passing gas'

GoogleThe new "American Idol" judging panel of Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez plus host Ryan Seacrest appeared on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" Monday night (Jan. 10). When Leno asked them about long days on the set, the foursome revealed that they might be alleviating the workload with pranks.
"We thought that Mr. Tyler had an issue with passing gas," laughs Seacrest.
And Steven Tyler reveals a little toy he was using to make everyone think he had a bit of an intestinal problem.
"I got this box, this voice box I got for Christmas a few years back ... it's not necessarily a fart machine." Tyler explains.
Leno cracks, "Steven, how old are you? The judges are 15 ... ?"
"American Idol" comes back Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
