'90210': 'Smallville's' Aquaman goes gay for Teddy
It's raining men in Beverly Hills. In a striking turn of events, Marco (played by Freddie Smith) won't be the first rebound after Kyle Riabko's Ian leaves "90210" and Teddy (Trevor Donovan) in the lurch.
According to TVLine.com, "Smallville's" Alan Ritchson, who plays Aquaman, will be dipping his toe in the gay waters as Teddy's next romance (or is it just a hookup until Marco arrives?)
Ritchson, who also stars on Spike TV's "Blue Mountain State," plays Tripp. A blueblood like Teddy, they used to be roommates at prep school and he was Teddy's secret crush.
They'll meet on Spring Break in Episode 18 and Teddy will eventually come out to his former friend, who seems not to mind at all. Obvs, because the making out commences, which ends with some kind of huge reveal...
Hm, could it be that they're related? Come on, they look like they could be brothers! Just sayin'.

Yikes. Don't love this news. First of all, the Teddy storyline has been great because there's a reality to the coupling of Teddy and Ian. This new guy, a former underwear model who seems to get parts on TV more for his abs than anything else, paired with Trevor Donovan is just a little too pretty for me. Sort of like a gay porn, to be honest. Also, Kyle Riabko (Ian) is such a great actor that he brought out some serious chops in Trevor Donovan, who has been really impressive all year. Alan Ritchson was on Smallville, and let's just say his performance was more cringe-worthy than Emmy-worthy. This honestly just feels like stunt casting for the gay audience. What happened to breaking stereotypes about gays and gay relationships?
I agree with OP. Trevor Donovan has really impressed me. Bringing in his doppelganger even if its for one episode is stunt casting or "jumping the shark" Teddy is getting substance, don't make him into a MIMBO
