Will Smith plots college crime-fighter drama for FOX

What are the tax incentives for filming in China these days?

Will Smith and James Lassiter's Overbrook Entertainment is developing a drama for FOX set in the country.

Variety reports Smith and Chinese-born filmmaker Eva Jin are teaming up for a one-hour series about a female college student who also fights crime.

And as nice as that sounds, we'd like to make our formal suggestion that they tweak the script just a tad so that maybe it's set in an elementary school for American expats.

It seems silly to cast a college-aged female, when Smith's multi-talented 10-year-old daughter Willow could clearly headline the series, whipping her hair in the name of all that's good.

Overbrook is also developing a series based off of Smith's 2005 film "Hitch."

A Criminal Justice Degree from "United Forensic College" led me to a point in life I thought I would never reach.

I would LOVE to see a show based off of Hitch.

Will Smith is enjoyable enough, but not every project he does has to involve his family. Plus I'm sure his daughter doesn't really want to leave everything she knows and move to China to film a tv show.
