TV ratings: 'Sing-Off' finale wavers, 'Perfect Couples' preview tanks Monday

The finale of "The Sing-Off" put up decent but not stellar ratings Monday -- it was down from last Monday's show and dipped in its second and third half-hours before rising a little when the winner was announced. The lead-in did next to nothing for NBC's preview of its new comedy "Perfect Couples," which put up weak numbers at 10 p.m.

FOX's "Million Dollar Money Drop," meanwhile, debuted to middling numbers, pretty much on par with what "Lie to Me" has been doing on Mondays this fall.

CBS ended up on top for the night with 7.4 million viewers and a 4.7 rating/8 share in households. NBC (6.7 million, 4.0/6) came in second. ABC (5.85 million, 3.8/6) stands in third for now, but its numbers are inflated some because affiliates in Chicago and Minneapolis aired ESPN's "Monday Night Football" coverage. FOX took fourth with 5.3 million viewers and a 3.2/5, while The CW (931,000, 0.6/1) was way off the pace.

NBC led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.2 rating. CBS and FOX tied for second at 1.9. ABC averaged 1.3 in the demo and The CW 0.4.

Everyone was watching football last night.

Not everyone! I loved Million Dollar drop! Intense!

I was disappointed with all of the extra filler on The Sing-Off finale. It reminded me of American Idol. And I enjoyed Ben Folds judging, but was shocked when I heard him sing last night, because I thought he was terrible! I watched part of Perfect Couples but didn't find it funny enough to sit through the whole thing. I won't be watching it.

It might have helped Sing Off if they hadn't all but announced the winner in the first episode. The judges fell all over themselves over Committed. Not much suspense as to who would win.

I thought SCS should have won! I thought they were going to pull it out. I'm going to try to follow their career.
Despite the filler on the finale it was a very entertaining run for this show.

LOL on NBC. They had Chuck there first and replaced it with that show. DUMB!

No surprise that FOX tanked with that horrible game show but nice thing is it's only on for a week and then it will disappear. As for the new NBC comedy, they need to get ready to one and out this show. NBC is in real trouble!

The Sing Off ratings dropped because the dumb *** judges kicked off the most popular group on the show, On The Rocks. I know I quit watching.
