'Pretty Little Liars' Ian Harding: 'It's not going to be easy' for Aria and Mr. Fitz

During a recent set visit to "Pretty Little Liars," star Ian Harding tells Zap2it all the juicy details about Mr. Fitz, Aria and Aria's mom when the show returns from its midseason hiatus.

"Aria and I are back at it, with varying degrees of difficulty. Still very much the blood is pumping as we kind of saw in the very end of the last episode," laughs Harding. "But again, more complications. It's not going to be easy."

Some of the complications arise in the form of new character Simone, played by "Veronica Mars" alum Alona Tal. Simone comes into Mr. Fitz's life, as luck would have it, by way of Aria's mom Ella Montgomery, who gets a job at the high school.

"I interact with [Ella] a bit, especially in recent episodes. We've had similar storylines where we intersect," says Harding. "She introduces me to [Simone], who becomes another complication." 

"Pretty Little Liars" returns Monday, Jan. 3 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
