Jillian Michaels leaving 'Biggest Loser' after Season 11
Overweight individuals in need of negative reinforcement will have to find a new TV trainer. Jillian Michaels is leaving "The Biggest Loser."
Known for her somewhat aggressive methods, Michaels has been a mentor on the series since it premiered in 2004. And though she did briefly depart in 2006, this time it seems to be permanent.
""Season 11 of 'Biggest Loser' will be my last :) have to finish out my contract," Michaels tweets to fans.
And though NBC has yet to comment on her departure, she's continued to elaborate on the subject, saying that she wants to focus on her personal life and maybe even start a family.
"I want to take a year off TV and focus on becoming a mommy and doing more charity work," she says. "Shooting 'Losing It' also had big impact on me. Living with kids I saw firsthand what I was missing."
But for all the surly fitness experts who think they might be a good Yang to Bob Harper's docile Yin, you might be out of luck. Michaels tells E! that her replacement is already on board, and she'll be there to pass the torch during her upcoming final season.

I will miss her!!!
I would bring back Sara Lyons. She replaced Jillian in 2006-07, and then when Jillian came back they kept Sara on for one season where they had three trainers. I thought they "jumped the shark" when they had three trainers, but when Sara left I have not watched "Biggest Loser" that much. Bring back Sara Lyons!
I also liked the Kim Lyons.
I've never seen The Biggest Loser so I don't know if her departure would impact the show that much. But having Steve Carrell leave The Office after this season and now this, that is two major shake-ups on NBC's biggest shows. At this rate, they might come out behind Univison in the ratings!
They already have selected two new trainers. The odds are that Kim Lyons will not be back :(
I find it interesting that the writer of this story didn't even bother to ask about a husband or sperm donor for this "mom." Jillian has stated in interviews that she is bisexual and single. I guess if you feel you need a baby, you just have to buy one. Nobody seems to care whether kids have fathers anymore. It's a social experiment which may not work. I wouldn't want to be her kid.
I won't miss her. I think she is full of herself and I don't believe for a minute she was ever really over weight b/c she just doesn't get it. BUT, she has helped many people I guess there's no denying that.
that this even get's ratings people watching people lose weight... yikes .
and Univision has the hottest women on it and no need to be on this show !!!
I understand that Jillian would like to start a family however I don't want her to leave the show. I have been watching the show ever since it started and the show is nothing without her. I felt like something was going on for the past 2 seasons because more of the focus has been on Bob. I really don't know if I will continue to watch the show or not after she leaves.
This news saddens me very much, as Jillian is the best and most compassionate trainer on the ranch. I've been a fan since the show started... you will lose a lot of viewers, including me and by next season, the show will me off the air!
