'It's a Wonderful Life' favorite scenes, plus 'Saturday Night Live's' lost ending

Everybody has their favorite holiday movies. Maybe you go for funny with "A Christmas Story," or modern with "Love Actually." For us, it's always about "White Christmas" and "It's a Wonderful Life."

Saturday night (Dec. 11) on NBC is the annual broadcast of "Wonderful Life." If you've never seen it (or if you've seen bits and pieces and think it's a cliche or a joke), you really should give it a chance. It's funny, it's sad and it's incredibly uplifting.

In honor of the broadcast, we've included two of our favorite scenes here. Our very favorite of the whole movie is the phone scene between George (Jimmy Stewart) and Mary (Donna Reed). Below is another scene that's always kind of forgotten about when the movie is discussed. It's a run on the Bailey Building and Loan, but George talks everybody down and gets them to help each other out.

And finally, if you've never seen the "Saturday Night Live" parody of "Wonderful Life" (the lost ending), it's definitely worth a peek. We love you, Dana Carvey.

Happy "It's a Wonderful Life" night!
