'Fringe' on Friday: Delicious strawberry-flavored death
Friday night has long been known as the place where good television goes to die, but "Fringe" is refusing to go quietly into that good night. When the series returns after the holidays, you can find Walter, Olivia, and Peter at 9 p.m. on Friday on FOX, right after "Kitchen Nightmares."In a new promotional trailer, the "Fringe" team pokes fun at the nay-sayers, acknowledging that historically, shows that get bumped to Friday don't tend to fare well when upfronts roll around in the spring.
"Death! Delicious, strawberry flavored death!" rants Walter (John Noble) in a memorable clip that will forever haunt us. While showing us ominous clips about TV's graveyard, the promo reminds us that death is what "Fringe" does best. If anyone can bring Fridays back to life, it's Walter Bishop, after all.
Check out the almost-perfect TV spot below (it's a little light on Joshua Jackson, but we'll look past that) and don't forget to tune into Fringe on January 21. It's a Friday.

I'm confused.
The author mentions 8pm and Jan 7.
The youtube commercial says 9pm and Jan 21.
Which is it????
It is January 21 at 9 pm.
Great commercial.
Pure awesomeness.
Awesome! I can't wait! Fringe is the best!
I'll follow the Fringe crew to any day and any time, but it means I will have to DVR CSI New York now. Fringe is must-see t.v. for our household, especially these last two seasons.
Sci-Fi has done so well in the past on Fridays.
why would u move fringe to friday unless it's the coming of the end for the show??
I think FOX is tired of FRINGE and wants to get rid of it hence the move.
FRINGE is a great show...love it but it is not getting the numbers that FOX wants to see but they aren't dismal either.
FOX just can't cancel FRINGE with the numbers it gets now without pissing off network viewers and sponsors(that they want to keep) so they start to move the show around to different days and times so that the numbers sink lower and then they have a justified reason for cancellation.
They then can fill the vacant spot with a new show that they think can get huge numbers.
Most networks do this with shows that are only doing "OK".
Sometimes they just put the show on hiatus for long time then bring it back on a different day and time slot and watch the number free fall...like they are doing with THE EVENT on NBC (going on hiatus for 3 months).
I was very happy with the Thursday lineup as I no longer had overlapping shows due to "Supernatural"'s move to Friday. Now "Fringe" has moved and will once again conflict with the Winchesters. I'm not happy at all now.
