'Bachelor Pad' host Chris Harrison: 'I think we're going to do it again'
"Bachelor Pad" was the guilty pleasure of the summer in 2010, reuniting all the favorite past "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" contestants in a game show-type scenario where they played for both love and money.Host Chris Harrison tells Zap2it that things are looking good for a second "Bachelor Pad" season.
"It's not official, but I'm hearing really good things from everybody at ABC and the creators of the show, " says Harrison. "Everybody really wants to do it again. Nobody has officially signed on the dotted line, but I feel really good that it's going to happen again.
"ABC really liked what it did for them. It helped fill that void and really launched their summer programming," Harrison continues. "It was a reunion show without being a reunion show. We were able to turn our reunion show into a game show."
The first go-round for "Bachelor Pad" was fun to watch but was put into action very quickly. Harrison says that the creators of the "Bachelor" franchise want a chance to improve upon the original.
"We all really want a second pass at it too," he says. "With a little more time, a little more money and energy behind it, it would be a much better show. I think we all want a second shot at it. So I would say yes, without having the power to say yes. I think we're going to do it again."
