TV ratings: CBS rolls Wednesday; 'The Middle' hits another series high
Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010CBS reclaimed Wednesday's top spot in the ratings as all three of its shows improved on last week's numbers. "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town" were down a bit for ABC, but the network's 8 o'clock shows continued to build, with "The Middle" hitting a series high in viewers for the second week in a row.
CBS averaged 12.2 million viewers and a 7.2 rating/12 share among households in primetime, leading ABC (8.25 million, 5.1/8) by close to 4 million viewers. NBC (7.2 million, 4.8/8) came in third. A night of reruns on FOX delivered only 3.2 million viewers and a 2.0/3, but that was good enough to keep it ahead of The CW, which brought in 2.5 million people and a 1.6/3.
The adults 18-49 battle was closer, but CBS still finished in the lead with a 3.3 rating. ABC came in second at 2.8 and was the only other network to score above a 2.0 in the demographic. NBC's 1.8 took third, followed by FOX, 1.3, and The CW, 1.1.

The ABC Wednesday night comedies was just like the heyday of TGIF. Wish Fridays was better than Wednesdays but Undercovers still needs a ratings boost if there's any hope of a full season pickup.
With the Middle now being the Queen on 8o clock sitcomes, hope the quality on Bing Bang Theory improves, sinc ethe Middle will rule the 8 pm timeslot soon enought.
Over at ABC, sophomore The Middle is turning into a bona fide success ;-)
I thought M Eow was getting booted by that guy who says he has the power to do so?! Another day another drama filled message board!

Bored-oops-Better with You needs to go. What a waste of talent and energy.
Once again ABC got ripped up by CBS, it looks like nothing on ABC regular programming can beat CBS.
I was wondering how The Middle was doing in ratings. Modern Family gets much more hype, but I really enjoy The Middle even though it took me longer to get into it. ABC's Wednesday shows are great, except Better with You which I can't even stand to watch as a gap show; I always turn it off.
I'm thrilled for The Middle. It is a very funny show. I'm glad people are starting to discover it. This, TV networks, is why you should give struggling shows more of a chance. Better With You, however is a terrible show. It's laughless. As CiCi stated, it's a huge waste of talent. Debra Jo Rupp, Joanna Garcia and Jennifer Finnigan deserve so much better. Jennifer Finnigan needs to stick to dramas. She has no comedic skills.
