'The Walking Dead' renewed for second season
Well, that was fast.AMC announced Monday (Nov. 8) that they are renewing "The Walking Dead" for a second season.
The "Dead," which has only aired two episodes thus far, has garnered strong ratings for the network. The Halloween (Oct. 31) premiere was the largest audience for the network for an original series ever attracting 5.3 million viewers, while Sunday's (Nov. 7) episode drew 4.7 million.
"The Walking Dead" is based on comic book series by Robert Kirkman and centers on sheriff's deputy Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) who, with a band of survivors, try to eke out an existence after a zombie apocalypse.

I wonder if the second season will have more than six episodes.
Very good news, didn't know that this season is only 6 episodes, bummer
Breaking Bad only had a seven episode season one followed by two thirteen episode seasons. Here's hoping Walking Dead is given the same consideration.

Great TV Show! Great Cast! Excellent idea for casting Norman Reedus as one of the Dixon brothers. Norman is a great actor and brings alot of "bad boy" integrity to the show. Please don't lose Norman!!!!
