'The Big Bang Theory': Kunal Nayyar on Raj's 'tragically beautiful' life

Three of the four lead male characters on "The Big Bang Theory" have had some success with women -- even Sheldon (Jim Parsons), who now has a girl/friend.

But Raj (Kunal Nayyar)? Yeah, don't hold your breath.

"Zero," is how Nayyar describes Raj's progress in being able to talk to women. It's so bad, he tells Zap2it, that "in the eighth season he's going to be on drugs or something."

Nayyar was a guest on the KTLA morning show Thursday (Nov. 11), and afterward he told us about what he calls Raj's "tragically beautiful" life on "The Big Bang Theory." (He also told us that Thursday's episode, featuring the return of Evil Wil Wheaton, is "going to be awesome.")

"He's always jealous that Wolowitz [Simon Helberg] has a girlfriend and he can't hang out with Wolowitz anymore," Nayyar says. "He's always struggling to talk to women, and he's always making fun of the guys. It's a perfect life -- tragically beautiful, you could say."
